I don’t know if I’d call my self a spiritual person as the phrase is typically used. I am a devout Christian.
I do not believe in enlightenment as the term is used by Buddhists or Hindus. All God’s in both religions are false. I believe in scripture enlightening us by revealing sin, righteousness, and God’s ordinances.
I believe in no other way to heaven except by Jesus, and that all paths do not lead to the same road. I believe all other religious paths to lead to Hell. I believe that one must be born again to go to heaven. That God must regenerate the soul as it is dead at birth. I believe that a general pattern of obedience to Christ is part of what demonstrates having been born again, but believe that we are saved by God’s grace alone. I believe works I. e obedience is/are the evidence of salvation. If Christ is one’s savior, he must also be their lord, and one obeys their lord. I also believe one must repent from their sins demonstrating they do not love their sin and that obedience to Christ is more important than sinful pleasures.
If you don’t have a relationship with Jesus, don’t let another second pass before calling out to him and asking for salvation and apologizing for your sins and turning form them.
The earth, relative to the overall universe, is literally the size of a speck of sand on your favorite beach (smaller actually, but yeah).
Our galaxy is rad, and the fact humanity survived/evolved to this point is super rad bruh. If we, as collective humanoids, could just keep things moving forward without gradually (to put it kindly) destroying our planet, and instead focus on the fact we're lucky to be here and just "tending this garden" till future generations take over, how much better would life be?
But yeah, we're all f*cked. Whatever other life forms are out there, which is overwhelming likely given the size/scope of the universe, they care about us as much as the ant each of us inadvertantly steps on.
I already forgot what my point is but that's my spirituality.
I like a mixture of things. A little bit of totem poles, a little bit of karma, a little bit of reincarnation, a little bit of great spirit, a little bit of thunderbird, a little bit of Ravens and Owls, a little bit of Satan and a little bit of Peace and Peace Symbol Emoji ☮️☮️✌🏻✌🏻
In my opinion enlightment has to do with knowledge not spirituality. The better understanding you have of the world and how to make it better. Spirituality is usually delusional, which is the opposite.
