Do you think you’ll be judged for things you’ve done when you die?

I think so and I am a sinner I except that.. when we were born we were all given a gift. That Gift. Is Choice..
We get to choose who we want to be in life by the things we say and do... I'm a pretty good guy
But I'm the type of person than want to always grow. I want to experience and understand and when this happens some thing I do is a sin I don't hurt people or myself I hope I make up for by the other things I do.. but I'm not going to count on it I believe we live for ever or our Energy does and we are our energy
We only know what we know in life and if you think about that. . or I o ly know what I know in life.. and I can do a lot of things with my hands heart my mind build anything I'm little bit smart but every thing I know means nothing because there is always a better way and when you learn that.
It's the same thing. There is another better way
Oops to answer your question I think God or energy has many different levels many home and maybe depending who we are what we have done will be the place we go to.
I can also say that I'm not sorry for the things that I've done but I do apologize because it has been an Enlightenment it has been a growing process each and every time I do something crazy or unique or different and I think I will probably continue to always do it because I must know things I need to know LOL if we were supposed to be one with the universe then we have to be at peace with ourselves we have to have unconditional love we have to understand all that we have to experience it before we understand it
i liked the part about wanting to grow and growing process. about "making up" some religions teach like scales but if i got a parking ticket then say i donated to cancer research it would not balance any crime nor make up.
Well I'm the guy that just happens to be at the right place at the right time when it comes to helping people I might go buy something at a thrift store not even knowing why I'm buying it and two days later there'll be somebody on the side of the road and I'll see what they need and it's exactly what I bought no when I'm talking about sinning and I'm talking about nothing crime-wise and nothing really that bad it's just probably in a sexual way not being married I believe in this thing called Energy and we all have it within and I'm trying to understand it and how it works and it's pretty interesting but I'm sure somewhere down the road is a sin and it is what it is I'm going to keep trying to understand it because even our scientists now are trying to prove the same thing that I'm trying to prove
I think the religious people are insane and that the biblical religions are evil.
I think any truth can only be experienced through something like an ayahuasca ritual.
Human beings were doing things like this for thousands of years.
We had proof of God and we just had to ingest it.
Now our proof of God is a book that some people cobbled together over literal thousands of years. And they act like some guy just sat down and wrote while God dictated to him every word. They completely ignore the history of the Bible.
I'm more likely to believe what a psychedelic tells me than what the product of human minds tells me. At least on the topic of God.
the word cobbled is how they tricked you. each of the books inside 60 book not one, was written in a different generation, that is the meaning of many centuries but they trick you it is one book like replaced pages evey ten years.
I don't know the whole history but I've taken classes on the Bible as well as looked at some of the most high level materials available to anyone who wishes to learn in depth about the Bible.
And the conservatives don't even know that shit exists.
Not that without conservatives, there wouldn't be fundamentalist religious people.
But I don't know how many religious fundamentalists are equally as educated about their own book they claim as pure truth.
Meanwhile, I have hears story after story after story of religious people and atheists doing Ayahuasca rituals and both abandoning their previous positions in favor of "unity" and stuff like that.
I believe it matters more your judgement of you.
If you do not find peace and faith to move forward from your mistakes then you will carry fear and doubt.
If you are remorseful and found peace to forgive yourself with honesty and belief you will be in peace.
In which you carry no bad nature in your soul.
So we are to be judged of our true nature and what we carry within us. If there's nothing what is there truly to judge.
sounds like idea akarma, but do you think a bad action can be cleaned after it is done?
If you feel true remorse and not just trying to escape guilt and your not just saying whatever to clear your conscience, then yes I do believe a bad action can be cleaned.
You are judged both for what you do and also for what you don't do or forget to do.

Suppose one person earns $1000 per month for 50 years selling fruit from his farm.
Another person esrns $1000 per month for 50 years by selling fruit stolen from the neighbor's farm. He never gets caught in life.
Both had the similar life style all 50 years.
Do you see justice there?
Why should you follow morals then?
If a serial date rapist never gets caught in life and dies at the age of 40 after the most wonderful life in his own eyes; should he get the same treatment after life as a family guy who only had physical intimacy with one person and only after they married?
The 2nd part of your question is based purely on your religious belief so I will not answer it here.
Religion is created by humans for the purposes of humans. That seems rather obvious to me when I consider the variety of religions that have been created by humans. They can't all be right, so I feel fairly safe in thinking that therefore all must be wrong. Religion is about social control and it fulfills social needs that we humans have. It is not about truth. So, to answer your question, no, I'm not worried about judgement by a God or Gods when I die. That doesn't mean I won't follow our society's rules, but I do so because I accept the need for order to be greater than the my own personal desires.
No because I don’t believe in any gods, but if there is a supreme power that governs the universe and judges people after they die, if it’s one that punishes people for arbitrary rules it created and deemed as “sins” rather than just punishing the people who were factually bad people, then I couldn’t care less. Send me to hell in that case, I won’t apologize for living a perfectly good life.
but nobody agrees what is considered bad... is breaking a window bad? is harming a fetus bad? only religion taught sanctity of life
Be careful what you ask for. Do you really want to be tormented in the Lake of Fire FOREVER? You do have a way to escape this. Not believing there is a God is not one of them.
@DubiousIntentions personally, I would rather live my life free of the fear of the gods and/or eternal punishment rather than gamble by hoping I picked the right religion
If you do some research, you won't pick the wrong one. Read "Reasons Skeptics should consider Christianity" by Josh McDowell. He was a atheist who tried to prove that God did not exist and after all his research he became a Christian instead. What can it hurt? You might learn something.
@DubiousIntentions to dub, content skeptics, i had not heard of that, thanks for mention. also i found the other major religions have hints to send people to christianity in quran 2,62 and a hint to monotheism under jesus in mahabharata book one, and even rabbi talmud in some places hostile other places hints to christianity being true. the only one that opposition agreed with.
Yes. I have no doubt of it.
I also know beyond any doubt that my own "righteous" acts make me no better than a used tampon in God's perspective because He is Holy.
I place my trust in the Sacrifice of Christ at Calvary and His resurrection on the Third Day to cover my soul and cleanse me in His righteousness.
Probably not the most popular thing to say on this site, but doubtless a good place to say it anyway.
great translation of isaia 60. better than common ones.
If you know Jesus as your Lord and Savior…. you will give an account of your actions but there no risk of not going to heaven when you die. God loves us perfectly forever and chose us long before you were born.
Jesus did say “Go and sin no longer.” When He died on the cross all of our sins were in the future so all of our sins are forgiven. This does not gives us license to sin. We show our love and appreciation by living like Jesus as best that we can. Don’t let guilt stand in the way of your relationship with Father, Son or Holy Spirit.
Judgement depends on who you die as. If you die as a man, judgement awaits you. If you fall like a Prince, princes never rise again. Unless God decides to make them rise.
But if you go out as gods (eloheem), there is no God known or unknown to man capable of judging you.
We all will be judged by what we have done. A few things I’m ashamed of what I did when I was young and stupid I wish I never did but I can’t go back in time and reverse them. I’ve prayed and asked for forgiveness for my sins. 🙏 I only hope and pray that when it’s my turn to be judged by Him that I will be forgiven and allowed into the pearly gates of Heaven. I Really want to see my dad up there because I miss him so much I still cry to this day every now and then. 💔😢😭
In a way. Rather, I think I'll be shown the things I've done through the eyes of myself and everyone I've affected, so I can see for myself where I've gone wrong or right. I also don't think anybody needs to judge me. I think karma will naturally and automatically bite me in the ass whether I like it or not ^^ in this life or the next, maybe unless I right some of those wrongs perhaps ^^ (And it'll kiss me on the cheek for any good things I've done too ofc).
Nope as theirs no reason to believe that, I see that belief as something people tell themselves because they know the worst people on this earth will never get the justice they deserve while the innocent continue to get taken advantage of so people lie to themselves to make themselves feel better
you accurately described me...
and quited book ecclesiastes well paraphrase
quited=quoted
Oh I wasn't trying to quote any book I was typing what I thought lol
Circumstances, context, intentions, everything will be considered. He's just not another judge. He's the creator himself. His justice will fail none.
Everyone will be judged.
The saved in Christ will be judged by all their good works as their sins, God doesn't remember anymore because they been washed and justified in Christ Jesus.
The damn will be judged for everything including all their idle words, found guilty and cast into the lake of fire.
Honestly I would like to believe that I would be judged on my doings when I die as it will reassure me that death is not the end. I also believe the ideology that I would be judged when I die in order to restrict me to do bad things which I may regret.
However, I do recognise that the chances of afterlife and you being judged upon what you've done this lifetime to be very unlikely.
how can we estimate such statistics? it is not like clouds and cold fronts and 50% rain.
I believe in God and his justice and in his presence I have no sin to be ashamed of and I hope never will be✝️.
No, I don't think we get judged its more about who you became and going to something equal to who you are. So imagine a world full of people like you, would that be heaven or hell?
so if hitler killed himself he avoided punishment?
@strateguy632 Its not about punishment, but do you really think a world full of hitlers is going to be a nice place?
I believe that everyone will have to give an account for what they've done. And either they'll have what Jesus did given to them as if they did it, or they'll have to face the consequences for the wrong they've done.
Judged no, but in may effect my integration back into the One. I can see how some people might dilescribe that as judgement but it's not like human judgement.
I don't believe anything happens to us when we die. I once hear the analogy of us living is like music being played. When the music is over, it's over. And whatever happens to the instruments afterwards has no effect on the music itself.
My understanding is that as long as you become truly Saved/Born Again, and have asked forgiveness and repented for all the bad or wrong things you've done, then those wrong things will be expunged from your record, as if they had never even happened.
Yes, I know I am going to be judge by the lord Jesus christ and I am still waiting patiently.
Yes, but not by somebody or God but by ourselves. I feel we all have a life review we have to watch before being reincarnated.
