How do you believe in religion without proof?

I’m not traditionally religious I believe in after life but not exactly how others do I believe in it in the way that I don’t think all this energy and being can come from nothing and be nothing after we die but the idea of heaven I’m open to but have a hard time believing 100% please tell me how you see it. I’m also becoming more open to it in the last 48 hours I’ve lost my dog and I’m devastated

I think it breaks down to what you consider a burden of proof. I have my proof. I feel God's love and guidance in my life. I've been blessed beyond my wildest dreams. I attribute that all to God. Could I be wrong? Oh 100%. But even if I am, the gratitude that I pay out isn't a detriment to me, and serves to strengthen and improve my life more. I'm sorry you lost your dog.

I mostly mean the stories I worry they could be changed over time believing in a higher power I believe in but reading the bible I feel like I’m not fully invested because of the fear of inaccuracies

to guy, content change, we have old versions. also comparing versions from distant regions can confirm both weren't changed.

How do you believe in love without proof?

Where is it at? Can you measure it? Weigh it?

I mean it has to empirically exist in some quantifiable, observable way for us to be sure—absolutely certain— that love does exist.

depends what you mean by proof. if a witness is proof in court, then jesus was a witness telling about spiritual stuff.

What happens when you die

When I die? My bodily and neural functions will cease and my body will begin to decompose. If it was left alone, it will continue to decompose and be eaten by bacteria and vermin and turned into gasses until only the hard bones remain. Those may last anywhere from 100 to 1000s of years. Millions if the conditions are right for the process of mineralization and fossilisation to occur.

And you won't experience the nothingness, so no reason to be scared.
