What is the weirdest thing that you have experienced and how did it take place?

In my late teens, some friends and I went on a camp out. We hiked a few miles up a canyon before stopping for the night. We dropped acid.

I decided to walk up a narrow trail next to the creek at dusk. At some point, just ahead of me, the dry leaf-strewn trail seemed to be undulating. I thought it was the acid. But a few steps closer I realized that hundreds and hundreds of orange newts were making their way up the stream bank, across the trail, and into the leaves and brush on the other side.

Newts walk slowly and kind of undulate from side to side. They were packed closely together like a carpet as far ahead as I could see.

It was a very rare sight. I was lucky to have witnessed it. The acid made it even more surreal.
