Did the Chief Priests and Pharisees suffer from Jesus Derangement Syndrome?

Did they fear He would drain their collaborative swamp with Roman authority and screw up their sweetheart deal?

And were the Romans afraid He was truly a liberator of the Jewish people, which they had subdued for years, simply by the force of His personality?

Did the Chief Priests and Pharisees collaborate with the Romans to convene a Kangaroo Court when Jesus had violated no Roman laws?

First of all there is a difference bteween the Pharisees and the Sadducees. The former is a small group of guys that want to live as holy as possible and they tried to act out every law of the Torah. They were part of the Sanhedrin but that was there only collaboration with the Romans.
Then there were Sadducees, they were the religious political power since the Chief Priest was part of their group and they led anything concerning the Temple in Jerusalem. They cared mostly about the Temple and how to keep the system going since they at least claimed to be the successor of the kings.
I would say yes the Sadducees had some form of fear that Jesus could destroy their deal with the Romans since they knew that any form of violence in Judea and Jerusalem would call the Romans come with troops but these rebellions with armies to peace.
That´s what happened in the war from 66-70 AD, that led to the destruction of the Temple. The Romans didn´t like any form of rebellion they probably feared that he could start a civil war. They probably didn´t care much about him in particular they were just not interested in a conflict.
The Pharisees had different problems with Jesus. They weren´t concerned about the Temple as far as I know but they had problems how Jesus deliberately spent time with sinners and how he interpreted the Torah. The former was a problem to them since they taught that a holy person has to avoid a sinner and an unclean person at all cost to remain holy. The later was a problem due to his claims he made from the Torah and calling himself the Son of God and making claims about God that seemed blasphemous to them.
The Sanhedrin was a congregation of 70 men from both groups that led the Jews in all questions that the Romans didn´t care about like religious questions and was led by the Chief Priest.
I wouldn´t say they were mentally ill I would rather say they had a real fear that Jesus and his followers could build up a rebellion that leads into a civil war since they knew that would be the end of the Temple.

He is King. caesar doesn't like that, but when He said His kingdom is not of this world Pilate said he found no fault in Him. He rose from the dead in the flesh, and brought several people back to life beforehand. He said you can't follow Him unless you give up all you have and that if anyone gives up family or lands to follow Him they get much more of those in doing so, with eternal life in the age to come, and all who believed were together and shared all things in common of one heart and one soul, and He said if the communal people as salt of the earth lose their saltiness they are only good for being trodden over by men. so since most people who claim Him don't do that, not giving to all who ask as He instructed, what are such people good for according to Him, who said all things are put into His hands by God?

As I been reading the Pharisees were a radical group that were overthrowing the traditional priestly caste. It is quite possible they didn't like competition.
