Is the concept of eternal torment in Hell actually found in the Bible?

"Sheol" is the world used in the Old Testament; whether it refers to an afterlife for the wicked, or just death in a more absolute destructive sense is unknown.

Jesus, as per the canonical gospels, makes frequent use of "Gehenna", which was an actual physical place; a valley south of Jerusalem where many pagan rituals were performed. These included human sacrifice, so big J might have only been talking about being burned alive when He mentioned "... and whoever says, ‘You fool,’ will be liable to fiery Gehenna". He didn't clarify. He DID talk about the rich man being tormented after he died in the parable of Lazarus, but I think that's as far as it goes. Interestingly, that parable also mentions the gap between the comforted and the tormented as preventing passage in EITHER direction, indicating that the call for compassion and virtue ends with death, and that God is a vengeful bitchass.

There's a little more in the apocryphal gospels- the ones I've read, at any rate- but nothing so glaringly clear as you might hope for.

The Bible repeatedly mentions hell in different locations in reference to certain categories of sin. There is mention of being bound in chains of darkness to be held for judgment. There are mentions of being set on fire. In general, darkness is considered thematically bad in the bible were as light is good. The wicked are said to be silenced in a place of darkness. The darkness is a place of no return. There are mentions of being bound by hand and foot and cast into the outer darkness were there are weeping and gnashing of teeth. Gnashing of teeth is to grind together in rage or pain. There is a plague of darkness that can be felt. There are clouds that cast light on Israel at night and darkness on the Egyptians... To plague is to cause worry, pain, difficulty, or suffering... So, yes to some extent there is coverage of hell in the Bible and the indication that it isn't all that pleasant.

If you go to revelations you'll find the sealed abyss were Satan dwells and the sinful dead being punished by being thrown into a lake of fire as a second death. How you want to interpret all that is on you. The modern depiction of hell draws inspiration from the traditional biblical description often with embellishments from other views of the underworld from other pagan religions. I suppose different people will imagine it in different ways.

According to Revelation 20, at least Satan, the Antichrist, and False Prophet will.

Hell is the waiting cell till all is done and revealed. They may get a chance after the thousand year reign of Jesus Christ. Then the devil, servant, Lucifer what have you will be released from the bottomless pit. There will be humans that join with him. That's when they are cast into the lake of fire where the antichrist and false profit have already been thrown a thousand years earlier. Then the Great Throne Judgement takes place. I'm not sure but the mercy of God may allow conversion here. Jesus judges all and those having rejected Him will join the others in the lake of fire.

The concept of sinners being tortured in hell is new and post biblical.

The Bible mentiones an afterlife where all souls go after the death of the human. No punishment, no purgetory, all souls go to the same afterlife.

I can tell you what's in the Bible, it's harder for me to say what ISN'T in the Bible. It's quite an extensive collection of books and it's not even internally consistent.
