That's going to kill you. The world is a bottomless pit of need, darkness and suffering. If you simply give all your light to that all at once it's going to be sucked out of you and you're dead. In more practical terms, you will work yourself to death or become a slave.
Angels if they existed could afford to be pure because they have Divine magic and won't be as easily destroyed as humans.

Well the nature of doing good is your largely on your own and nobody is going to really pat you on the back for it. You could even end up helping people who hate you, but you are in the background doing good because you believe in doing good.
I don't think anything has my back and I could die horribly at any moment. My safety is entirely in my hands and if I commit my life to virtue and don't take care of myself? Nobody will be there to pick up the pieces, I will be left all alone and if I ask for help I will be mocked.

Sorry, I read the question wrong.
- 1 y
No, I thought the question was: "Who would you like to be as a gorgeous or handsome celebrity?".
- 1 y
Yeah, she's gorgeous. I met her once, too. I couldn't believe she was that short!
There was a psychedelic folk band she was in in the late `60's Wind In The Willows. They only did one album that went nowhere so, they broke up. - 1 y
I think it was `78, possibly `79. Mostly, I just got her autograph. Most of the time, I was standing there chatting with her keyboardist, Nigel Harrison and Teddy Pendergrast's drummer. It was right after Teddy was in the car crash because I remember that being a big part of the conversation. We stood there outside the hotel chatting for at least an hour before Debby showed up. I only got autograph's from 5 of them, I think it was Clem Burke that either never showed or refused. He was pissed about the turnout at the concert. I don't see why, the house was packed! Even most of the balcony! At the end of the show, he threw down his sticks, jumped over his drums, ran up to Debby's mic and shouted, "YOU SUCK!!". We should've shouted back, "YOU'VE GOT OUR MONEY!!".

You mean the third album, "Parallel Lines"? Yes, a few weeks, or so. It was at the Stanley Theatre which is now The Benedum Center. I've seen LOADS of bands at the Stanley! Devo, Cheap Trick, Todd Rundgren, Frank Zappa, Angel, AC/DC, Alice Cooper, George Carlin (comedian), Doug Henning (magician), I was supposed to see 10 c. c. there but, they cancelled at the last minute. Sadly, I can't recall the rest off the top of my head and, thanks to my ex-sisters, I lost all of my ticket stubs 4 years ago that I saved for decades! There was a lot more I saw at the Civic Arena.

So that wasn't her first album. Hmm. I was supposed to see Cheap Trick, but shit happened, and I missed it. Craig, brain tumor guy, said the guitarist was a complete freak of nature. Well, I've seen him on youtube now. He doesn't look like he plays. You saw Bon Scott. You shit. He was my favorite from march 80 and he was dead. Jeff told me 6 months later. Jeff introduced me to their music after coming back from Tulsa.

Yes. He's a VERY nice guy! So is George Carlin!
After the Devo show, we stood at the stage door for well over an hour to get autographs. Most of us got tired of waiting and left! By the time they came out, there was only about 8 of us and, instead of signing autographs, they shoved right through most of us and only signed autographs for one or two people! - 1 y
Alice was very nice.
Devo refused to give autographs.
I never met Bon but Angus nearly ran me over up in the balcony.
Another one I saw at the Stanley was Nazareth. - 1 y
Their entire "Hair Of The Dog" album was great! Especially the last song! And, another song which, I think, was on "Rampant" was extremely good, too. Yes, it WAS on "Rampant" Again, the last song.

Yes, he still is! His dad was a preacher and so was his grandfather. His wife's dad was a baptist preacher.
- 1 y
Yeah, they used to all preach to Apache Indians in Phoenix.
I'm pretty sure he's 74.

1 ySounds boring (no offense.) I like being my halfway heartless, halfway ugly self. I like it.
119 Reply- 1 y
But you are not ugly. Not if that's you in the picture. You're far from it.
But my point was that in being that way, you would help everybody you encountered that needs it. You wouldn't be conceded, or selfish or in love with yourself. Your first concern would be for the welfare of others. You'd be one of a kind. - 1 y
Eh, I'm one of a kind already. You know like what Corey Taylor said in the heretic anthem:
A hideous man that you don't understand throw a suicide party and I'm guaranteed to fucking snap. - 1 y
And... I'm kinda right... I'm not the baby, I the darker girl holding the baby.

Good for you.

I know that feeling.
1 yYes, though I'm about as handsome and boyish as a 71-year-old man can get.
