Would God actually give away your seat?

The bible says if you seek a position of honour and a man more distinguished than you comes to the banquet, the host might tell you to give up your seat for the more distinguished guest, and in total humiliation, you would be forced to sit in the least important place that nobody wants to sit in.

But if you sit in the least important seat when you go to the banquet, the host will promote you to a better position and you will be honoured in the sight of all the guests.

It seems to me that the host of this banquet really needs to have a seating plan. Then you wouldn't have this problem to begin with.
