What are the absolute WORST church songs and hymns you've ever heard? Whether you actively attend church now or you haven't been in years, you have to have heard them at one point or another.

I remember most of these from my youth, though I'm thankful to have forgotten some of them at least...

My dad says that whenever he croaks, he wants "oN eAgLe'S wInGs" sung at his funeral... which is on this list 🙄

Most of the modern ones are as bad as most modern pop: repetitive, not in any way complex, and devoid of any lyrical depth. Compare these clownshow songs to something like "Come Thou Fount."

That's why I go to Traditional Latin Mass. Gregorian chant and traditional hymns are golden.
