Is science replacing religion? How can we maintain our faith, especially when neuroscience and evolution show that humans are not special?

Developments in neuroscience say that humans may not have free will, and that everything that makes us who we are actually consists of physical molecules and processes subject to the laws of nature. Moreover, the truth of evolution says that humans are not much different from other animals, that they are a simple primate in this infinitely large universe, and that there is no such thing as the first human or a perfect human being. How can we maintain our faith in the face of these explanations of science?
