Historically, Christianity is for sure, but I think Islam is more likely to be in our current time period.

Christianity is an interesting case. You still have the reglious fundamentalist in Christianity who promote dogmas like baning abortion for rape victims, but those are only the reglious fundamentalist. Reglious fundamentalist promotes dogmas and beliefs that are not back by science or lived experiences.

But the majority of Christians are not religious fundamentalist and don't agree with the religious fundamentalist. The average Christian just wants peace and love.

I am okay with religion as long as it doesn't have the fundamentalism part in it.

I'd go with Islam. My father's widow comes (or rather, she fled) from a fundamentalist Islamic country.

She told me sometimes she still has nightmares about being there - the things she saw and had been done to her were "that" horrible.

Only one of those think of their printed scripture as a living being and someone defiling it subject to killing. Most or all of the others look at it is printed paper with good stuff printed on it. Hint: I have burned a tattered Bible and also several worn out American Flags according to The U. S. Flag Code.
