The homeless problem in America has been disatrous and mismanaged. On one hand we don't want to motivate them to "not search for jobs" like living in a hotel reward, while on the other hand, not "ignoring their poverty and suffering."
I visited a homeless shelter. if a charity can make a large room, normal roof, with rows of cots like old days, homeless would have a roof and a cot, and still be motivated to find work, to get privacy and live in a home. But i can't afford to build nor operate that, but the #vatican has those gem decorated items that could be AUCTIONED for this urgent charity to provide a roof and a cot to homeless in our cities.
So what pace is fair for the vatican to auction its gold items for the homeless as above?

Why not have the smithsonian & New York Metropolitan museum auction off all its treasures to the highest bidder.
I would also just like to point out that the homeless problem in America is down to politicians at Federal, state and local levels not the Catholic Church. The Catholic has many charities in America and globally that help people, funded by Catholic church members. In 2024, Catholic Charities USA's 168 agencies provided services to over 15 million people in need, including more than 28 million meals and emergency housing for over 295,000 people. They also responded to 52 natural and man-made disasters. Catholic Charities USA's total expenses were $4.5 billion, with $3.9 billion dedicated to charitable services. The biggest part of Catholic Charities are the numbers of volunteers who help people without payment. I suggest you volunteer.
Irrelevant is not allowed on this website. You dodged the issue of vatican. Who pretend to have "charity" but instead have luxury.
Again it's basically more than 2000 years of history preserved. How much money would the hope diamond sell for?

The museum is not a hypocrits preaching charity... but catholic preach charity but dont use luxuries for charity.
Not irrelevant. What luxuries does the Catholic Church have, scented toilet paper? The Vatican is basically a museum as much as anything. A representation of ancient & medieval art and architecture preserved.
Meanwhile there are Catholic organisations in every part of the world doing charitable work.
Do you really think that anybody on the planet would donate ten cents to the United states?
Not directly to the government but to a homeless charity.
When the American Red Cross went bankrupt nobody gave e them a dime.
Good point! AS USUAL!,👍
They would have never acquired such despicable wealth in the first place if they actually cared about people.
