even those poor desert countries, have plenty of food and luxury... an amount indicated by "surprisingly high obesity rates" in muslim countries, as i explained in a recent mytake here.

It's hot. It's mostly desert.
Their countries rely off oil and they host boxing matches to earn money. Dubai is a haram city in a supposed Muslim country, that only exists for the tourist dollar.

They base their norms off a holy book that was written centuries ago, and they really think is God's true word. When all religions are influenced by humans to some extent.

Middle Easterners tend to be closed-minded and shallow, and see all things through a spiritual lens, and cannot see that there are many different ways to perceive life.

So it's not heaven on Earth. it's a shithole on many levels.
