If Jesus appeared to you and said to sell all your possessions and follow Him would you do it?

I’m referring to the story in Matthew 19:16-22 where a guy asked Jesus how to be a good person and Jesus told him to sell everything he had and he would have riches in heaven, but the man loved his wealth so much that he couldn’t do it. Personally, if it determined my salvation I would do it.

Because if anyone "appeared as Jesus" i would know that it is like a scam advertisement. The only important remaining part of what constituted Jesus in his last 3 years of the physical experience is the spiritual being of christ, which is not resembling a human.

Depictions of christ are not meant to show his appearance in the jesus body. At least for those painters who are truly trying to pour down the essence they perceive in christ spiritually. Rather, they symbolize, by painting a selfless caring look.

You should also "sell your possessions" every night before you go to sleep. Because your ego and astral body leave the physical body, and by keeping materialism on mind, you bind yourself to the lowest spiritual plane all night long.

Also jesus would directly be contradicting himself and god, as the Bible clear says to live your life to the fullest. "I came that they may have life, and have it to the fullest" jesus.. and god tells you to value the gift he has given you aka life.

But you misquoted jesus never said "all". The opposite: he only said give a shirt if you have a second.

So if i saw a vision saying give "all" i would know it was not from jesus. Never "told him to sell everything".
