nope. god decides pretty much nothing as he doesn't evidently exist. genes pre determine the range of ages you could potentially reach and then your lifestyle will determine if it's gonna be lower or further up on that range.

for me "knowing" works like this: if there is an overwhelming body of evidence speaking for one thing and maybe the tiniest, faintest evidence for it not being the case, i'm not gonna prioritzie the tiny minor thing. i think that would be insane.

like we should always think critically and if we're unsure of it venture out to research and test wether what we think is acutally true. you can't ever be an expert in everything. you will be an expert in "some" thing tho. and i think it's healthy to assume that the other experts are doing as good a job as you're doing so even if you don't "know" something from your own epertise, you can still look at the gist of other experts and figure out what they found without having done all that research work.

"could" you find the tiniest role that god "may" play? sure. that is the god of the gaps fallacy tho. and also it would be eroneous to assume that just cause you know the explanation for a thing, the explanation must be god. cause saying it is god doesn't help you any further in understanding anything. so yeah. not only does god not evidently exist (and i don't have a shadow of a doubt here, cause there is no evidence that we know of and i can't account for things i do not know), i also think if god did exist, then that wouldn't help us the slightest in understanding anything better.

and in case you are gonna make the argument: yeah one day we "may" possibly find some evidence for got. i'm not saying it's impossible. but what i am saying is that that day hasn't come yet and i'll cross that bridge once we get there. cause i can't accept as true that which i do not know to be true.

have you ever stopped to think about what "spiritual" actually means? i happen to know why we use that word. maybe you're interested. tell me what you think: so back even before medieval times we had basically no understanding of how the body works internally. no idea about metabolism and the vital role of air in our bodies energy production.

people also had no good idea what air is at all. for all they knew there was wind. but when there was wind, there was nothing to feel or see. so there were lots of myths around that stuff around us. some called it ether. it was misterious to these people.

so anyway what these people could observe was that peole would suck "something" in, when they breathed. and then they also blew stuff out when breathing out. and they knew once people stopped doing that (breathing) then people would typically be dead. so they assumed what even makes us alive comes into us when we breathe in for the first time and leaves us when we breath our last breath. that's what people called "spirit". or "air". I don't know if you knew but spiritus litterally means "air" or "breath".

so that's litterally all "spiritualism" is. the mytholocial ideas spun around not understanding why we breathe. we understand why we breathe now. and in fact it has nothing to do with any supernatural things happening. our personality and life is completely within us and doesn't enter or exit ever.

and you even see that historical missunderstanding of air writtend own in the bible, cause it's written that god blew life into adam which he formed from clay. it's litterally the expression of what i just said which today we know exactly isn't how things work

you see the things i say aren't "believes". they are facts you can go and validate. or you can falsify and tell me i'm wrong. it's not subjective choice. it's facts. facts don't care about what i believe. i can be wrong. and if i am, i'd like to know but i think i'm not wrong.

i don't treat what i think to be true as vital part of my lifes doctin. wehnever i'm wrong with something, i'll immediately drop it and adapt that which is true. that's how you can be wrong less. by just believing things as a choice to believe, you tend to be wrong much more.

God can decide when we die. Usually when people are struck by lightning it is God sending a message. If a bullet misses your brain by a few millimeters it is God telling you that you are not finished.
