What do you think of the salt that loses its saltiness?

What I get out of that is, if you are humble before God in a way that makes you arrogant before human beings, your holiness becomes unholy, and everything you do as an unholy believer becomes morally pointless and self-defeating.

Real holiness involves service to man and humility before God. You cannot devalue others in the name of God, and then expect to see God for who God is, you will only see a delusional image of God that does not exist in real life.

You've perfectly grasped the principle. It's the exact same idea as the man who says 'God is within me' but then spends his life judging and putting others down. It's like trying to see the sunrise by standing in its direct path and looking straight at it. You don't see the sunrise; you get blinded. Your own inflated ego, your pride, stands between you and the reality of the divine. The salt loses its saltiness because it's no longer in contact with the thing it's meant to preserve. It's no longer in contact with the living, working reality of God in the world, which you find by serving your fellow human beings. The salt that loses its saltiness is the prideful ego that thinks it's the sun, and so it can't see the sun. It becomes a dead, useless mineral.

I've never tried that kind of salt, what is it called?

Is it some sort of sea salt, lake salt, or rock salt?

In my kitchen I usually use various types of sea salt, but Himalayan is also one of my favorites.
