My eyes are changing and I am having trouble viewing letters on the computer, even with glasses on, how do I know if God is fixing my eyes?

My prescription is huge so if my eyes are half healed, I won't be able to read my lap top with glasses on and I won't be able to read on my lap top with glasses off either.

But I don't wear glasses when I use my cell phone because the phone is so close to my face I do not need them.

So you're asking about a situation about where prescribed diopters are too high but you still need some.

Why don't you print a snellens chart and hang it on the wall, and try to read it from 20 feet away with glasses on. If you can't see 20/20 print but do see it clearly from a smaller distance then your eyeballs have elongated more than when prescribed. If you can step an extra foot away and still see 40/20 then your glasses are definitely too strong and you can consider ordering something weaker for a dollar or two online. The difference between reading distance to driving is about 1.5 diopters, and you can measure astigmatism at home as well, but usually if i remember correctly it scales proportionally to the mount of diopters. It's been 8 years since i read that stuff at endmyopia. org, and i bet that nowadays online ordering of glasses must be even cheaper.

There's versions of astigmatism that only affect short/far sightedness

You should check your eyes frequently, perhaps the doctors needs to change your prescription.
