I was a very egocentric person before I heard the gospel of Jesus, and it took over 20 years for my personality to become normal and less arrogant and boastful.

I am lucky I discovered the Bible when I was a child, because as an adult, I would not have had the time, or the energy to change myself in such a fundamental and extreme way.

And Jesus said people who worship money and pride, have such a difficult time becoming Christian, it takes a miracle for them to be saved. Just like it would take a miracle for a gorilla to fly a plane.
