Cause it's blasphemy created by the devil, his self made purpose was to separate people from God, anything plays a part, that includes people feeling completely comfortable with cursing with God in it, the biggest lie the devil has made is convincing people that he doesn't exist, nobody focuses on the devil, people even blame all the devils works on God.
And if people believe in neither the devil nor in God? What if they dismiss everything of this sort as figment of the imagination? Mere wishful thinking which is designed to console during hardship?
Do you believe in life after death? And why would you want to live forever? The Greeks of antiquity, I heard once, argued that mortality is a blessing, and that immortality is a curse so much so that the gods envy the mortals because unlike mortals who die they are condemned to be alive forever.
Well I guess it depends what you want to believe, in the Bible death was a curse and it was a punishment towards the first humans on earth for creating sin, God took away their immorality, we were suppose to live forever and sin wasn't suppose to exist, Adam and Eve used their free will to corrupt humanity, creative sin and death, an afterlife is an escape from death, in heaven the after life will have no negatives, nothing negative will exist, not even boredom, the greeks argument come from hearts of people of sufferment, they don't know what its like to live forever with only joy so their argument comes from a damaged heart because they experience pain and suffering, its very different when you remove all the negatives, who wouldn't want to live forever if pain and suffering didn't exist, and back to your first few questions, if you dont believe neither then you just don't, but everyone will die and as a believer I know I won't lose anything if I die and there's nothing, I just wouldn't exist but if the Bible is the truth, earth was just your free trial of pain and suffering, there's a lot more to lose after death as an atheist then there is to lose as a believer, if I'm wrong then I won't exist or be alive to see it, if you are wrong, you'll live all of eternity in pain, suffering and regret.
Immortality*
Sounds a bit like a fairy tale with no disrespect to the Bible. There is a lot of timeless good advice in the Bible, but I am afraid that I do not believe in the story of Adam and Eve and of creation in general. How does your believe stand in front of the theory of evolution? And when I say theory we are talking about something supported by facts. If you look at some black people in particular you can see even some of their facial features resembling those of apes. And there are fossils to prove the existence of dinosaurs for instance, which are not mentioned in the bible as far as I know. Fossils also show how life evolved. You can map the transformation of bones from one class of creatures to the next. What do you have to say to this?
I think facts can easily change when it comes to science, as it has several times when new things are discovered, there's many geological findings of things in the Bible and many, I think evolution the way science describes it is a faulty concept of how things actually evolve, do you not question why humanity decided to start counting the years after Jesus Christ was born, it's been 2026 years since Jesus was born, everyone uses it, something about counting time easier, still a odd thing to understand from atheists, to be honest science is only an explaination of things that already exist, it's not a creator of anything, we claim a lot for a species that only managed to bring a couple of moon rocks from our own moon and send a few telescopes and tech out into space, id believe that the creator of the universe made our planet habitable made us live in it and then put himself on his own creation in a form of a human and left us a guide on how to live, it's far more believable to me than us coming from nothing and starting as a germ and we evolved from monkeys, to believe death will be the same as before we are born isn't very logical either, you were formed and then when you die you unform again? When someone dies, whatever made them alive and a person is gone, no matter how they die, whatever powered the brain is gone, it doesn't make sense to me that we are just chemical reactions.
Also I saw a video of some guy sculpting weird artifacts and then burying them and the title was "leaving weird things to confuse future archeologists, also I don't believe God told us everything, the Bible doesn't speak about dinosaurs not existing, for all we know God started with dinosaurs or put dinosaurs so we grow interest in history and prepped us for documenting the past so his story can be easily passed on for generations for all we know, I don't know, but what I do know is that God only contradicts science because science wants to pretend to play creator, once you push science down and put God on the top, you can see how well science and the existence of God fit together but you would have to accept that science isn't perfect, meaning they can make mistakes and falsely inform, which they have done in the past because of new discoveries, it all comes down to cause and effect, a very simple topic in 1st grade science, God being the cause and science being the effect.
Good question
Uh 😳 - well, god damn it - you caught me 😋👀🤭
