Why do religious Christians in America cherry pick sins the most, unlike religious Muslims, etc?

Many religious Muslims are hypocrites too but not to the extent of religious Christians. I am Christian by the way. Just not religious (go to church every week, etc). I noticed the hypocrisy of the religious people of Christianity sects. Muslims try their hardest and not judge as harshly but Christians talk about gay marriage all day, fornicating, yet ignore gluttony. Ironically they ignore it yet when in their religion it says it is a deadly sin. I can care less if you eat a lot, just think cherrypicking is hypocritical.

And same with being gay (I'm straight), if you choose to say this is a sin without other sins? Can't cherry pick, you guys cherry pick too much. Catholic here saying this.

Not sure where that’s coming from. Have you not heard of how “gay marriage” is handled in Muslim countries? You should probably buck up on how it works in those places. You may find there’s a surprising reason why they never talk about it.

Muslims don't cherry pick as much as Christians. They talk about all things they believe is a sin. Christians obsess over gay people, fornicating, etc. but yet ignore gluttony and other sins. Christians cherry pick and are more hypocritical judging other peoples sins without looking at their own first

But you do understand why most Muslim countries don’t have policy debates about homosexuality, right? Because in most of those places it’s considered a settled matter punishable by prison, fines or lashes. In extreme cases, being thrown off the roof of a building.

That’s the consistency you admire? That they’re lowkey about sins they’ve already effectively silenced?

Keep in mind, Christians generally live in western cultures normalizing homosexuality and fornication. It’s not a matter of hypocrisy. They discuss certain topics more because the world in which they live raises those topics more.

muslims cherry pick their religious doctrin just like christians do. living according to every rule in these books litterally is virtually done by nobody as it is hardly possible cause it does clash with most countries actual laws.
