these days some rabbis say "jesus never existed". others say he was a good teacher but not messiah. the talmud of ancient rabbis said "jesus was guilty of doing magic". now that makes me wonder: what miracles they admit he did? by calling it magic?
a few say "jesus sinned by not obeying the rabbis." so a sinner cn't be messiah. but a few rabbis in Europe and israel starting believing in jesus as fulfilling judaism. others say "miracles are impossible so no virgin birth". most just say "rabbis say our religion is right so that is why i am not christian." like they have faith that the rabbi has a good reason but don't ask which.
but those who check see: every religion points to jesus whether quran "jesus is messiah" or mahabharta or rabbi talmud. like one rabbi said "messiah is a carpenter" why would a rabbi say that unless he secretly agreed with gospel mark.
in school in new york we got "anti-missionary lesson" that rabbi interpret bible different than christian. different interpretations. so that is another reason. one problem with that lesson was "if sin can be cleaned without blood, why would bible say kill an animal and do a blood ceremony. " i got punished for asking that in 8th grade. clearly even the expert had "no answer" for that.
Wise answer, i'm curious to study more about Judaism because it has all started there but it makes me happy that the majority of the jews backthen became Christians, they knew the truth, they have lived their lives preaching about thr coming of the messiah and when Jesus came, they were shocked and just didn't want to accept the truth!
The Rabbis backthen are just religious men who had followed the teachings given to them by prophets sent from god, which means they cannot dictate or judge how the messiah is going to come or what he's going to do!
The rabbis followed god's prophets and the prophets talked about Jesus so this ranks Jesus on the highest leve, imagine at the end of the day, a rabbi having a say if Jesus was the real messiah or not π€·π»ββοΈ
I respect the Jews snd admire them because had chosen them to show the world the reality and to lead humans on the right path but the difference between me and them is that i as a christian chose to continue the path and not stopping in the middle of the road because i had some doubts about Jesus's claimings...
I do respect other people's beliefs which are different than mine such as muslims and buddhism, hinduism... etc, but judaism is the base of my religion so i can't choose not to believe their book, because without their book, there would be no christianity and Jesus was considered a Jew, plus he said that he came to continue the path and not to erase the past which means pointing at the Torah...
So yes, to me Judaism is like a movie, the original movie than christianity came as a direct sequel to it so we can complete the movie, and the muslims are a reboot, it's like making modifications and a new plot and using a new character, if you understand what i mean...
The rabbis cannot say that Jesus is fictional, because if the ahteists and today's historians and scientists agrees that Jesus was 100% real, okay they can debate about his miracles and if his story is 100% accurate because they aren't christians and they don't have faith in him, but to say that he's a fictional characrer, they are totally wrong, the majority of humans worldwide believes that Jesus was real whether they believe in him or not...
in your section 'the majority of the jews backthen became Christians' and around it all that is well said.
about history yes several historians included jesus got crucified.
i don't think islam replaced christianity. it seems to me in conflict with jeremiah grace. and self contradicted its own 'mercy' god.
The muslims will never replace christianity, they have a different faith...
Plus with all due respect who is the prophet mohamed? He wasn't mentioned by any of the past prophets and the bible the old testament never mentioned anything about his coming, plus he didn't came from the chose people, their prophet is a story on it's own...
They took some of their teachings from the old testament and others from the new testament and mixed it all together under the leadership of their prophet and called it the Quran...
I think it started with the religious big shots who found error in his ministry such as healing on the Sabbath. Jesus was replacing the law and they were used to adhering to the law handed down from Moses. He frightened them and they did their best to turn public opinion against him. All the way to crucifixion.
Yeah that's the sad part, they spent hundreds or maybe thousands of years preaching about him and when he came, they all turned against him π€¦π»ββοΈ
Because the Rabbis backthen were just humans, religious humans just like today's priests or sheikhs or whatever any religion calls their preacher, which means they are humans, so as humans no one is perfect, they just couldn't accept him because they thought that the messiah must fullfill their agenda and their own beliefs, it's like having a sacred list, if we find the whole requirements in you than we will claim that you are the messiah π
It's like a human being who is a god's creation, telling god that you're not god because you don't fullfill the list of our requirements, now they will tell me but these requirements came from the prophets, okay who are the prophets, who are the angels, who is everyone and what is everything? A creation of god, imagine the creation dictating the creators hehe
When pope francis may he r. i. p allowed the homosexual to be married in a church and started accepting the lgbtq community and assigned women as priests, he was doing the wrong things, they told me but he's the head of your church and he represents Jesus on earth, you must follow his commands, i have told these i surely have respect for the pope amd he does represents Jesus on Earth but he's a man, so he isn't perfect, what is perfect is Jesus, i follow Jesus teachings, if the pope has an opinion or a personal view than it's his choice, the pope cannot modify or change what's written, you came to teach me about Jesus and show me how i must live my life accoding to god's teachings, i never said that i follow you're own views and you're own beliefs, nope sir!
Thanks ππ»

Depends. Some were indifferent, others were more aggressive.
But Jesus came to tell the people they were wrong. The Jews then didn't like that.
Thanks for sharing
now all the Jews are the same though...
same as Christians, not all the same... not even Islam
How? π€
you know that there are many and plenty of different religious groups among these three... right?
and they all have different approaches to Abraham... yes?
Well i know that i'm a christian and i'm happy about it π
yeah... and there would be other groups of Christians, who would not accept you as one...
and that's just the nature of religious groups
True, but tbh it doesn't matter to me if others accepts me or not, what matters to me is that god accepts me...

It's a really good question. I'm looking forward to the conversation also.
Thank you, let's see if strateguy has an opinion about it π
According to the posts on "X", there are many Jews who literally SPIT on Christians.
"X" is by far my favorite SMS. So much truth being revealed.
Yeah i saw it all, that's why i'd like to hear an explanation about how they think about Jesus?
It's really a shame to see a Jew wearing "Hasidic" clothing, yet doing such shameful acts towards others...
I know that there are a lot of wise and friendly jews out there, i'd like to know their opinion about these people...
Jews had a nice little racket going and then Jesus tried to muscle in on it with his do-gooder crap. Why do you think they wanted him crucified?
It's because they didn't believe that he is the son of god and that he's phony... etc
Plus, they didn't think that Jesus would be so humble and they saw him as a weak person, they thought that the king of the jews must come with wrath and power!
