Do you practice witchcraft or magic?

I've been researching this a lot lately and I can't believe how common it is. Some of the ideas I'm being introduced to are making sense out of a lot of things I really had a hard time knowing how to feel about.

It's getting hard for me to argue (to myself) this isn't becoming really common.

All i can say with certainty is that the collective unconscious is very real.

Many witches believe they can influence the collective unconscious through rituals. Everyone knows that subliminal messaging works on some level, but some part of our unconscious is also responsive to what we never phsycially came across to be directly influenced by, the same way we sometimes get premonitions.

If all witches do is play with the subconscious mind, then we all practice a form of magic without knowing it.

But no, i lately try to avoid anything mystical because the reason most people dive into it isn't out of pure interest. It is usually an escape from physical reality. "Spiritual bypassing" is what it usually, but not always, is. ㅤ

At some point years back i was listening to what self proclaimed witches say. Then i was listening to what anthroposophy says that witchcraft and channeling was supposedly valid on the last epochs and now got outdated and a new form of "exact clairvoyance" is on the line... i gave up that shit too because i found myself in a cult.

I don't know, nobody knows answers to everything. Dion Fortune started as a professional psychoanalyst and later said "i was explaining the occult via psychology, but now i am explaining psychology via occult". But she too clearly had unresolved traumas. Just as Steiner did.

I guess my answer is just empty while sounding smart, just like the average witch.
