Christa Pike is still alive after two lethal injections. Is God trying to tell us something?

I am thinking that maybe God would like us to take his commandment, "Thou shalt not kill," more seriously.

[Sevenpointfive]

i read that the place they get the chemicals from can't manufacture it legally. so they send other stuff since we don't ever use it. but some are also saying it's activism? since they know what it's being used for. i don't know what else it's used for but it's not like we're using the stuff every month. this batch was specifically for her, right? you don't make a bunch of this stuff and store it using it until it runs out.

so, i don't know what to say? but if they try again that should be illegal. they fucked up twice! she died twice. that's on them.

No manufacturer will sell them these drugs anymore because they don't want to be involved in this and rightfully so. So the only way they can gut the drugs is to have a pharmacy make them using raw materials. Often. This does not go well at all. It's not clear whether the drugs that were used in this case were made by a compounding pharmacy as it's called, but if they were and that is one explanation for what happened, perhaps. Yet another explanation not exclusive to the first one is that they kept the drugs around for so long that they simply degraded to the point that they didn't work well anymore. Perhaps the stage should consider abandoning Capital punishment all together. The problem is that this is a Southern state and the people in that state are so angry and bloodthirsty and bent on vengeance that politically. It would be hard to do this.

you would think a doctor or pharmacy would know to check the expiration date. but that's what i'm saying. if they don't use these chemicals very often and nothing was stored... it's the companies fault. but even the chemicals for injection are so cruel themselves. it might have been one of your questions that i answered where i found this out? but it's far from putting someone to sleep and that doesn't sound okay to me.

They used pentobarbital, and I bet it was made by a compounding pharmacist rather than being obtained by the company that makes it commercially - because that company probably refused to sell it for use in an execution, and understandably so. The compounded stuff was probably not made correctly.

[Sevenpointfive]

yeah, nurse DOC officer helped out both times since the doctor was out smh. they don't care. she's dead anyway and that's disgusting. a 25 cent bullet will do a better job

[msc545]

Not so much the expiration date. It's more like you could make this stuff improperly to begin with, and it wouldn't work correctly.

[Sevenpointfive]

have you read into what that pentobarbital does? a lot of people for the death penalty are against this drug. it's like burning their lungs while drowning them. the more suffocation and struggle the more pain. and it doesn't sound quick.

[msc545]

Unfortunately I know exactly what it does.

[IHaveRespawned]

I watched the updates live from the media witnesses on the podium. Isn't this wild?

[msc545]

Very unexpected. I believe God has spoken to us.

[AngryCarl3]

Even the Bible can't agree if it's "thou shalt not kill" or "thou shalt not murder". According to some versions state sanctioned killing is just fine.

A salient question might be, why does God create people like Christa Pike in the first place?

[AngryCarl3]

Ah, the miracle of incompetence. Pentobarbital will not cause death if the dose is too low, the drug has passed its expiry date, or was incorrectly administered.

[NathanDavis]

what did God say at the time when she was beating, torturing and murdering her victim, breaking her skull into pieces to take some home? "you will reap what you sow"?

and why is God telling us... instead of her?

[msc545]

I have no idea. I think you should ask God. She may very well be having a conversation with God right now, or, for all we know, in the past she may have had many conversations with God. We just don't know. What I do know is that what happened tonight feels a little bit like an actual miracle.

[NathanDavis]

so, her agonizing struggle and unbearable pain is a miracle for us?

how so...

[msc545]

I don't know if she was struggling or in pain or not. Do you?

[NathanDavis]

that's literally the one job of these drugs she was injected with...

to make her agonize till she dies from it... and surviving that, is NOT a blessing from the sky

it's one of the most absurd and horrible, nightmarish thing someone could go through... so I really don't think that is a type of miracle or blessing for which God would like it to happen

[msc545]

That is not the function of the single drug she was injected with which is pentobarbital.

[rgb008]

Just use a for-sure method… I can think of several

[888theGreat]

I bet she is messed up then
