I used to be a cessationist but I did witness a miraculous recovery from an unknown illness that I had 20 years ago after hundreds of people were praying for me. I do think that a majority of people who are serious Christians don’t witness miracles and I understand the point of view from many cessationists but I do think it’s something you just have to experience to believe.

No, and yes.
An ex of mine had schizophrenia and was molested by spirits.
Soon after she embraced Christianity (she was Buddhist before) these spirits disappeared.
Sure: this is not a ''classic'' healing - but through her belief she got better.
I think, that counts :)

Since I've had more than one in my life, yes.
First was almost 30 years ago. Bad fall left me with my ankle so swollen I couldn't get my shoe on, black, blue, crimson bruise and impossible to bear weight. I sang in a choir at church at that point and was the soloist for the service so I went to church thinking I'd get a lift to the hospital afterwards (I have to be almost dead to call an ambulance)
With a lot of trouble physically I got to the altar rail for communion. The pastor didn't just give me a wafer though. He placed his hand on my head and thanked God for healing me. I thought it was odd but ok (I was still fairly new to the church). I felt heat go through me and at the time thought it was the beginning of a fever... When I got back to my seat the choirmaster gave me a puzzled look and asked where my crutch was. The pain had left so completely I'd left it at the rail. We looked at my ankle and watched the swelling disappear as if it was gas being let out of a balloon. The discolouration took a week to go. I told the pastor what had happened and he stopped the service to tell everyone else and had me walk past everyone to show them the bruises, or rather the discoloured skin as by this point I was totally pain free. Since then I've had a few more minor injuries healed the same way. I've also witnessed other people being healed.I think so, He takes His time with blessings and miracles… which can sometimes come when least expected. He answers prayers sometimes immediately or soon after.
Recently, I just got out of a harsh relationship and deeply heartbroken to the point where I couldn’t handle it and felt hopeless. I prayed to God asking Him to take away this pain and heal me and my ex so we could move on. I know it also takes my own work to heal myself and take away this pain, but I couldn’t have done it without God. I had faith. I am still struggling, but I feel less pain and am able to go about my day instead of crying and being self destructive. Not now, not ever. There’s no credible evidence of that ever happening. No disease kills 100% of the people who contract it. Do you know what heals people? Modern medicine, which is a result of scientific study.
If you were feeling seriously ill, would you get treatment or just stay home and pray? No. No I don't. Unless you consider modern medicine an extension of Jesus. In that case yes. What we can do today would be considered a miracle 2000 years ago. We have cured thousands of diseases that killed millions. Polio, small pox and the bubonic plague are all things of the past due to modern medicine.
God does what he wants. It's "miracles" to us, but not to him.
I really hope not, that will prove he is evil beyond measure.
Well taking a look around at the world, I’d have to say nope.
If he does why would he have let my father suffer so long with cancer ravaging his body. If this was true a caring god would have show some mercy & either cured him or killed him much quicker.
Lol no, that requires a power and mercy he doesn't have.
if he does then he has countered it by killing a lot of really good people with this pandemic
Not today or any other day, no. Doctors might perform healings. Medicine might. Therapy might. But never magic.
Yeah, right!! That's why I had to cure mom's cancer myself!!
No I don't believe the imaginary friend of people affects the world
Which god? The Abrahamic one or the thousands of others that exist today or thousands before?
How often do you think they are earned/deserved?
Everyday and im thankful 🙏
