Atheists are often accused of being closed minded, yet I contend that theists are the ones that are really closed-minded. I haven't come across an atheist yet that refused to admit that they could be wrong, that God could exist. I don't recall ever running across a theist, especially a christian, that's willing to admit that they could be wrong, that their God might not exist.

So, are you open-minded?

We automatically think something is true before thinking about it and saying, "Nah, thats not right."

Could that be behind Trumpism, or religion?

There's already some evidence that says our brains make our decisions automatically. And then convinces us we made it.

It just strikes me as very odd that people can be so absolutely convinced of something that is absolutely the most crucial belief in their lives, yet be afraid to actually examine/question it. Wouldn't you want to know whether your beliefs make sense, whether they fit with reality, whether they are logical?

Both have disadvantages. Reigning in hell would probably be physically painful but intellectually sound. Serving in Heaven, very vice versa. Serving would be intellectual torment.

Its all fake anyway. But just a thought experiment…

So why is this story/religion silly, but the story of an eternal, omnipotent, omniscient being that somehow "exists" outside of space and time, not silly?
