I've taken females to cocktail bars but I've never bought one, or been with anyone that wanted to drink a cocktail, am I missing out on one of life's experiences?

I suppose I relate cocktails with the jetset and the incrowd, I hope this isn't a bad reflection on my social standing 😄

To be honest cocktails have never appealed to me, and I'm not an alcohol person, though I like a glass of beer or a glass of wine with a meal.

They believe that ongoing financial handouts without addressing the underlying causes of homelessness can sometimes reduce motivation to seek employment, treatment, or long-term independence.

This perspective suggests that making a difficult situation more comfortable without encouraging self-sufficiency may unintentionally contribute to dependency. Some compare this to the concept of codependency, where a person feels responsible for rescuing or supporting another individual in ways that may prevent them from developing independence. In this view, providing support should focus on helping people access housing, employment, education, healthcare, and other services that promote long-term stability rather than creating reliance on ongoing assistance.

Others, however, argue that immediate financial help can provide dignity, relief, and support during times of crisis, and that not all people experiencing homelessness misuse money or lack a desire to become self-sufficient. The debate often centres on the most effective way to help people achieve both immediate safety and long-term independence.

There are also many people who simply do not have the financial means or resources to help everyone who asks for money or support. With so many individuals in need, it is often impossible for any one person to assist every request they encounter.

One is when I was little, I played Halo 3 split screen with family friends. One was Ethan, he'd always destroy me in everything with understanding the maps and getting to the heavy stuff before I did. So he had a rocket launcher and I had an SMG which was basically useless.

He chased me, I placed a mine which as you can see, hilariously conspicuous, it beeps loudly, and only goes off when they step on it. Or punch it with a rocket launcher as he did as he smugly said "oh, what's this"? The mine doesn't kill the player, either, it just breaks their shields.

No shields= no protection, so I emerged and finished him off with the SMG and took his rocket launcher, I was laughing hysterically at him. He knew the map, but I knew him, he'd just have to show me who's boss and that I was a noob, and he wouldn't recognize his vulnerability until after I've already exploited it.

So he essentially shut off his own shields so he would only survive a few shots. It makes me laugh even harder, how mortified he must've felt for smacking an exploding bomb and then losing his rocket launcher to me.

He rage quit, as one does when the hierarchy flips so instantly in such a ridiculous and avoidable manner. I'd have said "thanks for the rocket launcher" if i wasn't laughing too hard to speak as he stomped off. What's a funny instant karma story you have? And did you enjoy my story?
