Is it fair to expect one person to run the whole front at McDonald’s?

Since summer started, it's been very busy, especially since I live in a tourist town. I know we are understaffed. For hours I've been alone up front. Bagging orders for drive through, lobby, doordash, taking orders at front counter. My gm is usually there and doesn't really show any frustration with me aside from saying a certain order needs to get out because it's taking too long, but I just don't feel like i should be expected to run the front of the store all by myself. Unless i just dont have what it takes. Its mostly customers who get pissed off, but I am trying my best. I do get very overwhelmed at times and just pause for a few seconds.

That’s why my friend never wanted to work there. He says it’s too much of an ass bust and they work you to death while the manager sits in the back room, taking her time in her own little office. I’ve never worked at McDonald’s but things have changed now from what I’ve seen and that’s too much work for you. Taking over everything. McDonald’s did hire me when I was 16 years old and the three people that went in there none of us were interested in the job. We weren’t very motivated and I never ended up working anyway for them because I just didn’t feel comfortable in that environment

Yeah, I noticed my gm sitting in the office on his phone numerous times whil I'm overwhelmed up front. Yet at the same time he's so worried about times.
