Do guys eventually get bored of their girlfriends and why?

I mean most relationships nowadays start off well but eventually as time goes on either one of the couple get tired or usually the guy cheats or something..

So do guys get tired of their gfs or not?

I had a girlfriend for 4 years. It was a long distance relationship back before there was email or video chat. She really did not put much effort into the relationship. Eventually I jut did not see her the same way anymore called her on the phone late one Saturday night after the rates went down and broke up with her.
I guess the relationship had run its course.
