Do You Like Cocktails?

Question

I've taken females to cocktail bars but I've never bought one, or been with anyone that wanted to drink a cocktail, am I missing out on one of life's experiences?

I suppose I relate cocktails with the jetset and the incrowd, I hope this isn't a bad reflection on my social standing 😄

To be honest cocktails have never appealed to me, and I'm not an alcohol person, though I like a glass of beer or a glass of wine with a meal.

Do you regularly drink cocktails?

My favorite cocktail is an Old Fashioned. Though it may seem strong to someone who doesn’t often drink stronger than wine.
I also enjoy a good Bloody Maria. That’s basically just a Bloody Mary with tequila instead of vodka.
I consider any mixed alcoholic drink a cocktail and as a wine drinker i would be surprised if you haven’t tried a Mimosa. If you haven’t, that would probably be a good entry level cocktail. I’ve made Sangria a couple of times, and both times i added hard liquor to kick up the buzz. Ell oh ell!

More often than not, I drink red wine, but I occasionally order a cocktail instead.
I really like fruity cocktails - anything made with rum, gin or tequila. I'm not that crazy about sour and I hate fizzy.
One of my favorites is mai tai, but there are lots of good ones.
I don't give a fuck if some people think fruity cocktails with umbrellas are girly drinks. They taste good and pack a punch if made right.

I've never been a drinker, only on occasion like a date. But just one.

My very first cocktail was called a Zombie. 7 different types of rum in it. They also have a Purple PNKLLR which has the 7 different types of rum with orange, pineapple and coconut juice added to it.

But I stuck with my one and only one. Fuzzy Navel. Peach Schnapps and orange juice.
A Harry Fuzzy Navel just add a touch of vodka.

I haven't had one of those in many many years.

I love cocktails mainly as flavor adventures, not for the alcohol. A well-made cocktail can be like a tiny story in a glass, just like a good dish.

Since you like beer and wine, I’d start with something gentle and balanced. A classic Aperol Spritz, Americano, or a light Mojito is refreshing, not too strong, and very food-friendly. 🍹

I guess rum and coke counts, or crown and ginger ale. That's about it for mixing things. I don't drink much alcohol of any kind though, just a few drinks a year maybe.
