Though masculinity and feminity can be subjective, It seems as if women need to look stereotypically masculine (short hair, square face, no curves aka no hips or boobs, dark colours etc.) in order to be respected and taken seriously in the workplace and school and being on top of a power position. And if a woman's a lesbian or asexual, they hardly believe her, because some people think that all lesbians are masculine, overweight, unattractive and short-haired butches and asexuals are prudish and ugly, even some lesbians and asexuals can sometimes believe those assumptions.

Also, many people regardless of their political spectrum ( SJWs, Alt-RIghtist, etc.) or gender, they seem to have problem with attractive and feminine women in both real-life and fiction (video games, books, anime, animation, etc.) and they either try to ruin their reputation, ban them, ruin them, censor them or just treating them like crap and criticize them for liking stereotypically girly things. So is femininity shamed nowadays?

Who has it tougher and harder in dating/relationship scene? The men or the women?
I feel it's a bit more tough for men... 1.) because men NEED to be at least a certain height to be appealing/attract girls ( no one would even look at a short 5'6 or less guy)
2. ) be strongly built as skinny/slim men aren't manly and are seen as weak men 3.) need to own a house and earn well
4.) Need to groom more and shave the chest
While the height and built of girls is generally not that important... if she is tall well built it's well and good.. if not she is cute and feminine... if she earns good , if not that's fine as well.

With masculine personality I mean:
Not very talkative - especially not about emotions, not sensitive, fashion, art and aesthetics aren't the most important thing in the world, loves cars, bikes, sports etc., strong, talks roughly, loves gaming.

With masculine looks I mean:
Rough broad facial features, strong jaws, broad shoulders, muscular, short hair, lumberjack clothing, tattoos, piercings.

Example on masculine looking female celebrities:
Brienna (GoT), Casey Legler, Elliot Sailors, Rain Dove and Michelle Obama (if she had short hair).

Examples on feminine looking celebrities:
Angeline Jolie, Keira Knightley, Nathalie Portman, Adriana Lima and Scarlett Johansson.

Emotional, sensitive, talkative, verbal, finds fashion, art and aesthetics important, loves to cook, clean houses etc.

With feminine looks I mean:
Fine small facial features, less strong jawline, less body hair, long hair, long eyelashes, not very muscular, short etc.

Examples on feminine looking male celebrities:
Reeve Carney, Zane Carney, K-pop stars, Petrovich Gesha, young Leonardo Dicaprio, Justin Bieber and Harry Styles.

Examples on masculine looking males:
Older Brad Pitt, Henry Caville, John Cena and older David Beckham.
