I will say I’m unlucky, I don’t think dating is this hard for the average person. In fact, most people have it easy as long as they’re attractive. Since I’ve been on dating apps on and off for years, that’s the only way I’ve met people but I just never catch a break. The one time I saw someone short term, it felt like settling because no one else gave me attention & he wasn’t physically attractive to me but treated me okay. I always get pursued by the ones I don’t want, if they’re attractive they’re dicks or there’s no connection OR if they’re good looking but decent personality they’re too short for me.

Sometimes the guys on dating apps message and we speak for a little while, but things fizzle out. Out of no where in some cases, they reach out again and come across as unstable or a total asshole wanting to rub something in my face. Look at last post, is this standard of dating apps or am I unlucky?

I really don’t have a desire to be social and meet people in person, it’s so hard to make friends. I’ve never met someone through a friend like most have, I don’t know if even having a dating app profile is worth it. I’ve even tried bumble but it didn’t change my luck, I wanted to be more in control.

TL; DR: Typical with dating apps or just bad luck in love?

I wrote below to the CEO of a startup company with whom my interview went exceptionally good but one day the HR calls me saying I was not selected as I was unprofessional. At that time covid was very high in my country ( especially city) and everyone was working from home. On the video call, the CEO said me to on my video but did not on his video and I was in informals ( black full sleeve top ) which was looking professional. Previously I worked by companies under forbes 500 and hold 3 years of work experience, currently pursuing MBA for working professionals.

I got the feedback from HR saying you found me unprofessional. I don't think I was unprofessional. I did dress informal probably. For me, it was a heart to heart frank and honest interview with you. I've been like this in all my interviews. My ego is not hurt but just to inform you that I'm not unprofessional. I can and I know how to talk to external clients. I have been mentored at my previous organisations and have talked to external clients before too. It's not new to me. The feedback of HR, calling me unprofessional is of no value to me. I dismiss her claim of calling me unprofessional.

Thanks and Regards for showing fake interest. Next time, if ever in future we come across, just say no to me on my face.
