Does he want to pursue an actual relationship with me?

I’ve known this guy for over a year and I know he likes me. I just got out of a relationship but I’ve secretly been crushing on him ever since I met him. Now that I’m single, we were able to hang out one on one and I had the best time ever.

We have so much in common, I’ve never met anyone this similar to me. Last night, I ended up sleeping over but he didn’t make any moves other than cuddling the entire night while we slept. When we were just friends, the girls that he would normally go home with would just be a one night stand and they would go their separate ways.

Because he didn’t try to do anything with me, is this a good sign that he most likely wants more than just to hook up? I found it very respectful and personally I think we are a very good match. He told me he likes me and I think he’s just respecting that I just got out of a relationship (despite me being half out the door for 2 months before I broke up with him). I’m not used to having guys treat me so respectfully, so I guess I’m just a bit skeptical. I don’t want to rush into anything and maybe he knows this?

What are your thoughts?

I just got out of a long term relationship but I had been moving on for the two months leading up to me breaking up with him and he knows this, so I don’t want to jump into something new this soon. Maybe in a few weeks if he hasn’t I will, but I have a feeling we’ll be spending a lot more time together

Well if I were you I'd express your feelings, be upfront about your interest in him, but you aren't ready to jump right into something, if he feels the same way, asking him to wait for you isn't out of the question.

I do see him about once a week, but I’m hoping after last night he’ll hit me up in a couple days. I’m in a state of mind where I want to attract and not chase, I think space is a good idea. From my experience, and many of my friends experiences, I’ve noticed that guys pull back to test and see how the girl reacts. So as long as I stay cool, calm and collected, I think there is the potential for something good to happen between us.

That’s what I was thinking too, and I believe him when he says he likes me, not just because he says it, but he consistently shows it. So I’m thinking I should just take it slow and not get too attached
