I've personally known many instances where a girl abandons her friends (regardless of gender) when they've gotten into relationships. Why? Their attention is no longer needed.
Only when the relationship goes bad do they come back. That's not friendship, that's a safety net. But even then, there will be some females who remain friends to get both their partner and their friend's attentions.

With guy friends the attrition rate - in my experience - is about 90%. If they stay friends with you, their relationship is not going well. With female friends, the attrition rate is still around 50%. Start asking girls what happens to their female friends when they get a boyfriend then it gets serious. A lot of them are just like "it's just expected that we won't hang out any more".


Of course, some will argue that there are some good female friends. I don't doubt this but I am left to believe that they are statistical outliers and not the norm.

the reason women are so hurt when she doesn't want to date you but just wants to stay friends forever is simply that she cannot find female friends that are anywhere near as good of friends as a guy is. Her female friends will compete with her, undermine her if she's getting better than them in some way, and run off when they get a serious boyfriend. Basically - her female friends don't see any value in a long term friends with other girls either.
Girls will often force their boyfriends/husbands to abandon his male friends too. To her, this is normal. That is what her female friends do to her, and that is what she does to her female friends.
