I know GaG will never get rid of political posts. More user generated content means more money for them. From a business perspective I see why they allow political posts.

Anyway I have been on and off this website for 12 years now. When I first got on it I specifically came to ask questions about dating and sexual topics. Questions that I was too embarrassed to ask out loud otherwise.

I remember back in 2010 there were only a minority of posts about politics and Obama. Sure young people talked about politics back then but it was like number 8 to 15 on the top 20 list of issues we worried about. It mostly considered boring and/or lesser importance.

Now it’s in the top 3 list of things people worry about no matter your age group.

I admit I have posted several political questions and polls over the years. I felt more comfortable posting here than on my social media channels. At least here I would get countervailing viewpoints. I actually invite logical and respectful debates. But that is becoming less and less common.

But again the name of the website is “Girls ask guys”. It was supposed to be about dating. We actually shortchange ourselves when we start fixating on politics.

We can't see the results until we voted, the same way there could be images that appear only after we vote.

And another function which reddit has, we could mark the post NSFW and readers will have to click to allow it. And we can label why it is NSFW.

Recently a number of us suggested a new category for "humor" where the posts aren't asking for serious advice, I would for example post this:

I often see men and women excusing women for being abusive to their loved ones when they have their period. Many mothers and fathers, for example, will often say its perfectly acceptable for their daughters to be rude to their siblings or act aggressive when they have their period.
