I often see men and women excusing women for being abusive to their loved ones when they have their period. Many mothers and fathers, for example, will often say its perfectly acceptable for their daughters to be rude to their siblings or act aggressive when they have their period.

I mean it’s mostly hormones that’s causing us women to be all over the place - but then again, it doesn’t mean that we can’t control some of it. I get very sensitive and easily triggered during that time of the month so I usually stay away from people as best as I can so that I don’t lash out on them - I also like to warn my boyfriend and my family that my period is coming soon so that they know not to bother me as much.
