Which scenario would you be more comfortable with and supportive of?

So I've personally always been a pants-only person ever since I was like 14-15... I only wear shorts if it's to the beach or pool, but other than that, literally never. Even though I live in Florida, and it can get hot at times. At that point I usually just wear more flowy, workout type loose pants.

But since I personally only wear pants, I take more note of people wearing shorts... and if their shorts go more than a hand above the knee, I have a habit of when greeting them to go, "Dang dude/girl! Those are some really short shorts! Someone gonna call the modesty police up in here, or you might get a sunburn on your legs!" as I give them a brofist or a high five. Which happens pretty often, since this is Florida, after all. I do this to both close friends and family members (my siblings and cousins, not mom/dad or aunts/uncles). And I do it to both males and females, if it matters.

Note, I don't keep constantly bringing it up, but when I first look at someone the first thing I notice is their clothing... and since I myself never show any leg, I notice when people show a lot of leg. That's all, lol.

Almost everyone is rather cool with it. They either just laugh or say something alone the lines of, "It's Florida, of course I'm gonna wear short shorts", or "Yep... and what are you doing in long pants on such a hot day?", or "This is regular length, what are you talking about dude? Haha."

But one of my female friends the other day was like, "Dear god, can you please stop bringing up the shorts thing every time you see me? I get it, you only wear pants, I prefer to wear shorts! I know you mean no offense, but it's honestly just getting annoying, and it's pretty weird, too! Like Jesus, have you never seen bare legs before? It's fucking Florida!"

And though we're still on good terms, she hurt my feelings, and made me re-consider my habits... I've gotten so used to it, and it feels so natural and right to do... but if it's weird and/or annoying, maybe I should stop... :(

So your partner can change you in many ways... but what we're talking about here in specific, is the way you dress.

My girlfriend sure did change the way I dress... in the way that's option 3 on the poll.

So before, basically, I used to be a bit too prude and conservative. I wouldn't ever wear shorts even if it was 100 degrees out and I was gonna spend a lot of time outside, I wouldn't take my shirt off at the beach, etc.

And be aware, this is in Orlando, fuckin', Florida... the literal Sunshine State. Even in the summer!

And my girlfriend didn't say anything the first couple of times, but one day she said, "Sweetie, I know that a more modest style is more-so your thing, and I totally respect you for it... but I imagine that long pants and a shirt on at the beach when in a Florida summer is just so damn uncomfortable! I certainly could never do it. I don't like to force you to do anything, but please try wearing shorts, or taking your shirt off at the beach at least once, and see if you like it. There's nothing wrong with showing your legs or taking your shirt off at the appropriate setting."

And so I did just as she said... and boy, I've never felt better!


Actually dressing cool for when it was hot out and we were gonna spend a lot of time out just felt so free and relaxing! And sorry if this is too much information, but it felt nice to actually hug my girlfriend in her bikini, and actually feel her skin against mine, rather than just feeling her on my shirt. And rubbing my bare knees against hers feels nice, too.

I still retained my more modest long sleeve and long pants style, for most of the time... but when we're actually gonna spend time outside, it's only shorts from now on! And at the beach, shirts are a no-go for me! Much more comfortable!

The title says it all... so how much leg hair you like on either sex is dependent on a lot of things. On your culture, whether you choose to conform to your culture or not, on society, on how you were raised, your personal preference, and so on and so forth.

And I'm just curiuos what people generally think...

You might think something outside the poll options, and that's totally fine... in that case, please post a comment... but I believe the poll options cover just about every taste. I also could've added in there, "I don't care." But this post is mostly for people who do care about that type of stuff at least a little bit.

As for me, personally... my taste is for E on the poll. That also pretty much describes me and my girlfriend, lol. I'm a guy with not a lot of leg hair... and she's a girl who waxes her legs.

My reason for this, other than it obviously being my opinion, is that I've learned to associate hair with masculinity, and hairless with femininity... though scientifically, that has nothing to do with it.

But while that's the case, I also don't like super hairy male legs... to each their own, but I personally don't like it. I only like a little bit, to a medium amount of leg hair on males. If there's more hair than skin, then I don't like it.

So I know this may come off as a weird question, as no one necessarily highly prefers shorts or pants over each other all together... you mostly just wear what's suitable for the weather, or for the occasion.

But imagine it's a completely neutral day... not cold, not hot, just a completely perfect 50/50 in between cold and hot. And you don't have to worry about any specific occasion or anything, you just wear what you like... what's your go-to option, then?

For me, it's definitely shorts. I just feel more carefree in them, and I think they look better on me than pants. Especially since my legs are not very hairy in comparison to other guys.

My girlfriend is also a shorts lover. She looks better in shorts than I do, no competition, but she likes to wear pants and shorts just as much as each other, whereas I only wear shorts unless it's winter, or some sort of formal occasion. But she says she overall likes shorts better, still.

Overall, shorts seem to be a bit more popular than pants around where I live, but it's pretty much almost an even tie.

As for myself, I'm right handed.

I write with my right hand, while playing use my right foot (for soccer/football) or play as a right handed batsman/bowler (for cricket). But when it comes to strength my left limbs surpass my right. Left arm stronger than the right (I use my left for arm wrestling). Use my left arm for lifting heavy weights, and self defence. Usually support my body weight on my left leg. I'm not ambidextrous, but yeah... My left counterparts have significant use as well.

So though most people don't give a shit what others wear, the person that is in the minority and dresses different than the majority will obviously attract the most attention...

But is it worst when you're the person showing the most skin, or when you're the person dressed the most modest/conservative...

I feel like shit when either one happens...

If everyone else is wearing long pants, and I'm the only one wearing shorts, I sort of feel naked and exposed, since I'm the only person showing this much leg. I try to pull my shorts down to disguise it a bit, but all my shorts are a great deal above my knees, so it doesn't work. I also wax my legs, which is really uncommon among-st guys... makes my legs extra "unique" and "noticeable."

If everyone else is wearing shorts above the knee, and I'm the only one wearing long pants, I then feel way too clothed, and like I'm coming off as an old fashioned prude. Everyone else is just dressed comfortable, but I'm so stuck to my old conservative standards that I can't even show a bit of skin when it's hot... what a shame.

I honestly can't decide which one feels worse, lol. I hate feeling naked and exposed... but I also hate it just as much to feel like an old fashioned prude... I just can't decide, lol.

I imagine if I was a girl showing more skin than the majority would be worse, since then I'd probably be receiving all kinds of labels... but since I'm a guy, I don't really have to worry about it. Not saying it's fair, but at least in US culture, it's true. Show skin as a guy, no one bats any eye... show skin as a girl, "slut", "whore", "attention-seeker", "desperate", "thot", "promiscuous", "show some modesty woman!", etc.
