Is there ever a time where it's too LATE to say "I love you"? It's been going on almost a year and a half--and he keeps claiming he only sees me "as a toy" (but his actions speak louder than words)! He also asked if I had feelings for him; which I SAID I liked him a lot. Since then, he's acted a lot "nicer" and more worried about it ending etc. I'm scared that my friends with benefits/casual boyfriend can't truly love someone because he witnessed a divorce... and each parent remarrying, as well as his brother getting married (who now avoids him).

His past girlfriends have been short-lived, cheated on him OR acted like they really didn't want sex with him anymore! He's also kinda has a BAD reputation; so it's really hard for him to hold on to a girl for more than a few months... but with me--it's standing the test of time. He only seems to know how to use people. Now, if anything we're "using each other" or so it looks like that from HIS point of view. To my family, it looks like he's my actual boyfriend etc.

In reality, I'm in love with him. I feel like telling him I loved him will scare him off. That being said--I feel like he needs to know someone cares about him. It's kinda like a service in which we have sex with each other and it makes us happy... BUT I have similar interests with him... I don't know what to do. I'm NOT going to end this because it's still pretty fulfilling for me :) ! Neither of us really want marriage--EITHER. So, has it gone on too long to tell him how much I really love him?

I'm a female though I have a lot of guy friends

We play games on the xbox and its pretty chill, whenever we have a problem we leave it until that person comes back to us and be chill again.

But I feel like I'm outcasted from my group, its different from before its not usually like this, they would treat me like whatever I say is consider weird and not funny when, someone else makes a comment or joke they laugh eventhough i made a similar statement but i shrug it off and laugh it off

But then the "jokes" started aiming at me things like
- "You can't play"
- "You get carried"
- "Fat, stupid"
- "Naive"
- "Omg take a joke"
- "Its just a joke you know im kidding"
- Omg stop being gay
I don't know but I've become quite sensitive to these comments that i usually should laugh off and be chill but it got to the point where I fought back because its fun to make fun of each other in a friendship way right?

I would say things like "Hahaha u play gay", "Shut up and play" " Omg jeez its just a joke"
But of course they fought back together hitting me with things like "Stop being a bully" , "You never think about our feelings"
Etc...

I've cut off from my group to think but I have no to talk to about this considering they have helped me in many family problems and problems with myself

Was it a good idea to do what i did?
Should I just accept all the jokes?
