Search Results: stop living in my head

I'm a avid surf photographer. But recently found I had done a significant neck injury (an old one I'd been living with though it has only now reared it's ugly head now) that only needs confirmation from scans. As such, I've been worrying and had to give up certain hobbies and past times.

Hence when the surf started to pump and become in a sense dangerous (what I was told to avoid), I thought stuff it and swam out for a shoot as I had been living in fear last couple weeks and been watching the beach from a far.

Social media is my platform to get my work out. Essentially my exerp went something along the line of a generic stop letting fear and being a wuss get in the way. But then I added on 'waiting for scans to confirm'. As a dude looking at it, I almost feel it's over dramatic now.

If you saw such a post, what would you think? I like to give my pieces a story and it certainly fitted the picture

The two of us grew up together as neighbors and used to spend time together all the time. We used to both have a thing for each other but our parents werent okay with us spending so much time together once we were both in high school since im two years older than her so nothing really happened between us. Nothing really happened between us partially because i never made a move even though i really cared about her, and partially because dating just wasn't something my parents would allow. She ended up getting in a relationship during the middle of my senior year with a friend of hers in her grade and I was really conflicted at the time because it made me sad that I couldn't be anything more with her yet I was really happy that she finally had someone who could make her feel loved, cared about, and happy. She had recently undergone heart surgery, her dad had recently left the home to receive treatment for leukemia, and her and her mother didn't really get along. I tried to be there for her as much as i could, but I was going through a time of a lot of change with getting ready for my future and being my own independent person studying at my university. When i ended up graduating high-school and headed to the university, the two of us were still really close and talked but we gradually stopped communicating as i got busy with university life, work, and living on my own for the first time. Aside from being busy and having to deal with a lot of my own problems, I had strong lingering feelings for her and so i distanced myself from her so that she could have a happy relationship with her boyfriend. Fast forward to today and two years have passed and she is now about to graduate from high-school, we both have hung out a couple of times and talk at least every other day but sometimes she seems really distance.
