First. Illegal immigrants are humans who deserve to be treated with human rights. There's nothing wrong with arresting truly illegal people. However the law should always be followed.

In all honesty, it all just feels like another excuse the trump administration is using to hurry and rush anything they want regardless of what those actions are. Even if they're not really putting the best interest of americans first.

There's multiple factors of why this shouldn't happen, if things are being done right. As of May 11, 2025
Here's what the trump team says is happening, "we're being invaded, we need to deport 20 million illegal immigrants." "Habeas Corpus takes too long"
The facts
1. There's no evidence of the United States currently being invaded.
2. We're not having a rebellion in the United States
3. There's no civil war or any war happening in the United States
4. The United States doesn't have 20 million illegal immigrants. It's less than 12 million. unless you start turning legal u. s. citizens into illegal immigrants then you may have more.
5. Habeas Corpus process may take around 6 months to process and 10 months to be finalized. However, there's no excuse for every citizen to not have due process.

So what does suspending Habeas corpus mean for everyday americans?

1. suspension means citizens won't be able to challenge the reason for their detention in court. Or possibly not even see a judge for due process anyway because trump's team says it would take too long for Habeas corpus to be followed for every case (mostly because it would take far longer than 4 years to reach their goal legally). Regardless, every U. S. citizen deserves their due process whether a few people like it or not.

2. this move gives government authority to more freely, without court order to detain anyone they seem fit

2. you'll see, or possibly not see, a lot more cases of innocent U. S. citizens mistaken for illegal immigrants being detained and possibly deported anyway.

We were dating back when we were in our late teens and we were both in love. Shit happens and drama and we broke up really badly, i moved to an other country etc etc.

There have been a couple of times in the past that she would drunk text me and the next day she would be cold or straight ignore me. In 2019 I went back to visit my family and friends and a mutual friend told me she wanted to pick me up from the airport but he was against it and stopped her.

We talked slightly through social in 2023 since I talk with her brother rather frequently and she was pissed at me cause a girl was flirting me a lot. Most likely she heard about it from her brother.

Fast forward to this year, she suddenly sent me a message in February we had a rather long conversation, we talked about our lives how it is going, she told me about her relationship of eight years and how bad it was etc etc.

Three days ago she sent me a new message and almost right away she started talking about sex and such. I told her that this kind of behavior is stupid and she should be more considerate of her boyfriend, then she told me she broke up with her a few days after we talked on February.

I confronted her about the rather sudden sexual topic and she replied this is the best way to grab the attention of men and I replied yeah if they are desperate, otherwise it feels stupid and I was seriously thinking of blocking her.

The nest day she was asking me to talk on the phone and she was worried I wouldn't want to cause she was drunk last night and she blew it. The call was around thee hours long and she was telling me she liked my straightforward attitude, my humour etc etc.

It was rather fun I have to admit but she was really reserved cause she was worried I would get annoyed and hang up.

The day she sent me a few pics and was trying to revive a dead fb group that we both belong and included me in a post.

That night I sent her a message if she wanted to talk and she was rather distant.

What is going on?
