I know that was a long question title & I was going to wait till tomorrow but let’s dive in now!

So if our partner has an insecurity or multiple insecurities, do we share the responsibility. This was a curveball of a question that was thrown at me over the weekend and it had my little brain working.

Their point was that when we date we share things including dreams, goals, fears, insecurities,! etc. They’re suggesting that when it comes to their individual’s insecurities whether it be an external or internal, we shouldn’t just be sensitive but also be obligated to help them with it.

Do you agree or disagree? And why? 🤔

First date and she (or he) says, "I really ready for marriage and I'm looking for someone who's ready to settle down when they find the right partner." Do you run as fast as you can and don't look back?

Do you stay and act polite, end the date, and then ghost them?

Do you explain that you aren't on the same page and tell them this obviously isn't going to work? Tell them you appreciate their candor? Tell them that you are relived to finally meet someone who is brave enough to admit how they feel. . . and you feel the same way?

For longer than I remember, I had this memory of once meeting a woman on a chat site, not unlike this one.
We chatted and we flirted for three evenings straight, only for her to abruptly disappear and never return ever again, prompting me to also move on with my life soon thereafter.

I don't remember any specifics other than the fact that we had great chemistry and that this "memory" dates back somewhere to my very early twenties.
It would be a very typical encounter for me, if it indeed happened around that time in my life so I never really questioned the validity of this "memory".

But the blurriness bugged me, and the more I tried to remember, the more I realized that I have absolutely no recollection of information such as:
What site was this? Why I was on there in the first place? Was I drunk for much of it?
Was it maybe a fresh find that I have simply abandoned because of that experience, and that is why the rest of my recollection is so scarce?

Over time I started to think that this experience of mine didn't even happen for real.
That, perhaps, at one point I simply had a very vivid but also quite a mundane dream that I eventually started interpreting as a memory of a real event that took place.

Do you have any "fake" memories of your own?
Something you swear you remember but when you mention it to your friends they all go like "you high or something? that certainly did NOT happen!"?
