I had to get a lift into work because my car wouldn’t start. I got a lift in with another male colleague, we will call him “Ben” who works in a completely different department.

My colleague, “Alex”, asked why I hadn’t driven myself to work. He then jokingly called me a wimp.

The next day, I asked “Alex” for some help with my work. To which he replied, “why don’t you ask Ben to help you?”

He said it in a jokey way but I thought it was odd.

Do you think he is being jealous? If so, why or what of?

I have a colleague who I have a crush on. We have a flirty relationship which includes things like him staring at me, but when we’re in a group he avoids eye contact and looks at other people more than me. He has been seemingly jealous in the past.

I have been away for a week and today was my first day back. As soon as he saw me he said “it’s about time you came and did some work”. I asked him if he missed me, and without hesitation he said “not at all, it’s been lovely and quiet without you”

I know that this would not be the case because he works closely with another girl who is just as bubbly/giggly if not more so.

I was telling another colleague about what he said, and she said that she asked him last week if he missed me. He just responded with “it’s very quiet”.

Was he disguising the fact that he missed me?
