I’ve been friends with this girl since we were teenagers and we’re now in our mid 20’s. All throughout our friendship, she has never complimented me - but I’ve always complimented her. Sometimes when we talk, she’ll “snap” at me (tone wise) and to be fair, she said that she does that to her other friend too.
When we were 18-19, I was pretty wild, but now that I’m 26, I’ve calmed down a lot. My friend always randomly brings up how I sleep with guys too easily and how I’m always with a guy…. I haven’t hooked up with a guy in over year, and I haven’t dated a guy in 3 years.
We went out and my blouse was undone, and she noticed but didn’t say anything because when we got out of her car, I slammed her door (I didn’t mean to).
We went out again for my birthday and I texted her asking what she was going to wear, and she didn’t respond. So when she got to my place, she was wearing a nice dress and did a full face of makeup. So I said, “I didn’t know we were dressing up?” And I put on a mini dress and sneakers (no makeup, and my hair wasn’t done). She accused me of trying to “one up” her… After that night, I hadn’t heard from her in like 3 months, mainly because I’m always the one initiating contact, and I was trying to see if she’ll reach out to me first. I tried sending her a TikTok, and noticed that she removed me from all of her socials. So I texted her and asked if I did/said something wrong, and her response was, “you didn’t do anything. I needed space, so I removed you from my socials. I didn’t think you would care or notice, that’s why I didn’t tell you”
Even though there were things that she said/did to me that bothered me, I’m hurt by her lack of communication and by her just discarding me. When I asked her if she wanted to communicate, she said, “No, enjoy your life”
