The reason for this question is cause my buddy and I got in a debate that he thinks that not talking to the girl for a few days if at all until the date is better and “works”


But I on the other hand (from what I believe) women prefer constant communication.


Who’s right?

I know GaG will never get rid of political posts. More user generated content means more money for them. From a business perspective I see why they allow political posts.

Anyway I have been on and off this website for 12 years now. When I first got on it I specifically came to ask questions about dating and sexual topics. Questions that I was too embarrassed to ask out loud otherwise.

I remember back in 2010 there were only a minority of posts about politics and Obama. Sure young people talked about politics back then but it was like number 8 to 15 on the top 20 list of issues we worried about. It mostly considered boring and/or lesser importance.

Now it’s in the top 3 list of things people worry about no matter your age group.

I admit I have posted several political questions and polls over the years. I felt more comfortable posting here than on my social media channels. At least here I would get countervailing viewpoints. I actually invite logical and respectful debates. But that is becoming less and less common.

But again the name of the website is “Girls ask guys”. It was supposed to be about dating. We actually shortchange ourselves when we start fixating on politics.

I think it's a topic that really needs more openness and discussion to help eliminate the stigma that goes along with it. And I'd be absolutely open and honest with my experiences. I'll post a question where we can discuss it, but only if others are interested. I'm still debating on whether to do it, and if I do, whether I would allow anonymous replies, usually I don't. I might consider it on this type of question. But, if I do allow anonymous replies, I would not hesitate for a second to delete answers from anyone acting like a jackass. So for now, would you like to see such a question, and if you would, what do you think about allowing anonymous answers and allowing replies from people who self-diagnose?
