Affiliates from the U. S. DOGE Service are also looking to kick out existing mixed-status households, vowing to ensure that undocumented immigrants do not benefit from public programs, even if they live with citizens or other eligible family members.

The push extends across agencies: Last week, Social Security numbers of more than 6,000 mostly Latino immigrants into a database it uses to track dead people, effectively slashing their ability to receive benefits or work legally in the United States. Federal tax and immigration enforcement officials recently reached a deal to share confidential tax data for people suspected of being in the United States illegall.

The result is an unprecedented effort to use government data to support the administration’s immigration policies. That includes information people have reported about themselves for years while paying taxes or applying for housing — believing that information would not be used against them for immigration purposes. Legal experts say the data sharing is a breach of privacy rules that help ensure trust in government programs and services.

“Information sharing across agencies is essential to identify who is in our country, including violent criminals, determine what public safety and terror threats may exist, scrub these individuals from voter rolls, as well as identify what public benefits these aliens are using at taxpayer expense,” the department’s assistant secretary for public affairs said.

What Do You Think About Spanking Kids As Discipline?

Hey everyone, I'm curious to get your thoughts on the topic of spanking kids as a form of discipline. I know it's a pretty controversial and sensitive issue, but I'm really interested to hear different perspectives on it.

From what I understand, spanking was way more common in the older generations—a lot of people grew up with their parents using it as a way to discipline them if they were really disrespectful or did something bad. The idea was that it would help teach them right from wrong and keep them in line.

But these days, a lot of people seem to be moving away from that and trying other methods instead. Some folks think there are better ways to discipline kids that don't involve physical punishment. They're worried it could end up scarring the kids or damaging their relationship with their parents.

So I'm curious what you all think about it. Do you have any personal experiences with being spanked as a kid, or seeing it used in your family? What were the effects, both positive and negative? And for those of you who are parents now, how do you approach discipline with your own kids?

I learned yesterday about the deaths of 3 people whom I used to volunteer with at the rescue squad back in 2013-2014. All three were in their 50s when they passed. I assume all passed from ailments. 2 died in 2024. 1 died January this year.

Most of them hated me, but I couldn't help but to feel somewhat bummed and saddened. Most of them had kids that are even a few years younger than me! It is a reminder that change happens and this world moves on while the departed is absent. A lot of people wake up unaware they may die suddenly that day or within the next 10 years.

If you knew the future and knew you would die within the next 10 years, would you be willing to embrace the grave?

All i can see is pain coming from these tariff increases. I don't see anyone getting helped by this, especially not americans pinching nickles to get by day to day. I don't see anything good coming from this right now or in the future. If it was anyone other than trump in office right now, people would be so pissed off about this it just doesn't make any sense. Are we just hoping something good comes falling out the sky from this?
