Was I wrong for quitting?

My employer cut my days down. When I reached out to her she said it was because of my work accommodation but when I told her that wasn't what my doctor said in the note as to why I can't work more days. Then the she added a different reason as to why she cut my days. I told her i couldn't afford my rent with what she was giving me.

The first reason was of my work accommodation the second reason which is the real reason was of my work performance issues. She said coming and going as I please don't help. I told her why are you saying that to me most of the employees come In early and leave early.

The work performance issues was me coming in early and leaving after work assignment was done. All the other employees did the same exact thing. She was upset because they were short staffed do to people quitting and wanted me to pick up the exttra slack. Because I was of more value because I was trained in other roles when I was only hired for one role.

No if she cut your time down it was fine you had to get a different job but I would say be more mature and do your job "right" if you want to be treated better at work regardless of what everyone else is doing. You will be seen as more valuable if you stick to your schedule and don't make excuses for being a shitty employee.

Shitty employee:) that's why they were calling me back when I quit ok. I've always done my best going above and beyond. My work performance issues only because a problem when I wasn't going above and beyond. Asking for schedule changes so that I can put my first job first because I have a second job to help them. Ok. If that makes me a shitty employee so be it. 🙃

Oh my bad I read that wrong.. I thought you were saying you and others were leaving early like before your shift was over so that would be understandable if they cut your hours.. If it was just she wanted to make you do other peoples work then your boss is just a dick lol.

You weren't wrong, but it sounds like you could have saved the situation and gotten your hours up. Your boss wasn't communicating very well either. It sounds like the whole situation could have been handled better.

I did try and fix it. I spoke with HR they told me it wasn't up to them to give me more hours. I even tried to cancel my health insurance to stay employee with the hours they were giving me was impossible to stay. The health insurance was high and the hours were low. And I was being targeted for not doing another person's job. I was hired for one role. They took notice of that and retaliated by reducing my work days. I watched it happened to a few other people before I became the next target.

True! I have a second one that's part-time. Plus I have enough savings to get me through for a while.
