Fox News Hosts Have Most Predictable Response To New York Wildfire Smoke

Fox News hosts on Wednesday made light of the public health warnings that are being issued over the hazardous haze that is currently engulfing New York City, much like several of its personalities dismissed the risk of COVID-19 during the coronavirus pandemic.
Jeanine Pirro, Jesse Watters and Sean Hannity all dismissed the city’s atrocious air quality — caused by wildfires in Canada — and mocked official advice to wear face masks amid the smog that is expected to last for days.

“While Americans choke on the smoke, the far left smells an opportunity,” said “The Five” co-host Pirro, who turned the haze into an attack on Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N. Y.) and her signature policy, the Green New Deal.

Oscasio-Cortez “says that we must, quote, ‘Adapt our food systems, energy grids, infrastructure, and healthcare to prepare for what’s to come,’” mocked Pirro. “Other Democrats are pumping up climate hysteria and bringing back, you guessed it, mask insanity.”

Jesse Watters said:
“Half the country can’t go outside or breathe fresh air because of our stupid neighbors up north, and the president hasn’t said a single word about it because we don’t have a real president. Other politicians went on TV and told us to quarantine like the good old days.”

Lindsey Graham Placed on Wanted List as Russia Threatens 'Killing Senators'

Russia has placed Senator Lindsey Graham, a South Carolina Republican, on a wanted list after accusing him of praising the deaths of Russians in the Ukraine war, state-run media reported on Monday.

"Graham, Lindsey Olin, American, born July 9, 1955, is wanted under the article of the Criminal Code," the Russian Interior Ministry said, news agencies Tass and RIA Novosti reported, without specifying what crime he is suspected of.

Graham visited Ukraine's capital, Kyiv, on Friday, where he met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, telling him that U. S. military aid to the country was "the best money we've ever spent." The Kremlin rebuked his remarks, referring to an edited video in which Graham appeared to praise the killing of Russians in the ongoing war in Ukraine.

The edited video was released by Zelensky's office, showing Graham in his meeting with Zelensky saying "the Russians are dying" followed by the remarks about sending U. S. military aid to Ukraine.

Newsweek has contacted Graham's press secretary and Russia's Foreign Ministry for comment via email.

After his remarks were criticized by Russia, Ukraine released a full video of the meeting which showed the two quotes were not linked. According to Reuters, the two remarks made by Graham were made in different parts of his conversation with the Ukrainian president.

The United States provided Ukraine with $46.6 billion in military assistance between January 2022 and February 2023, according to the Council on Foreign Relations think tank.
