Do scientific discoveries make people happy? I don't know. But: people are happy with very different beliefs! Okay, so we have to be tolerant!

The task is to educate people so that they see the beauty and real glory of life and do not become complainers and grumblers too quickly. We want to enjoy the beauty to the fullest, cling to it, and avoid anything that, according to human judgment, harms our fellow human beings. If I harm the Ukrainians now, it is only because they would harm me otherwise.

God does this too: He suddenly throws masses of people onto the earth, and everyone has to take care of themselves and get by. One takes from the other, and as a conclusion, only the stronger prevails. That is the most reasonable order, because if it were the other way around, nothing would have been created at all. If we did not adapt to the laws of nature and assert ourselves with the right of the stronger, one day the wild animals could eat us again, and later insects would eat the wild animals, and eventually only microbes would remain.

So i have learned a lot about something called Attachment theory and i may write a mytake on it sometime. so what the Anxious attachment style is specifically is im the type where when i feel like the other person might be pulling away from me i tend to pursue them even harder because of my anxiety over them possible leaving me. and unfortunately this in turn tends to push them away even more because anxiety tends to kill the other persons attraction in my experience. I'm not acting like my authentic self and instead reacting to my own anxiety. the other person can usually pick up on those vibes easily.

Anyone else the anxious attachment types? or can at least relate to these issues

Tucker Carlson Cherry-Picks Jan. 6 Footage To Deny There Was Any Insurrection

Fox News host Tucker Carlson used surveillance videos from inside the U. S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, to falsely claim on his show Monday that no riot happened that day.
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) gave Carlson, a well-known Jan. 6 denialist, access to more than 40,000 hours of security camera footage from which Carlson cherry-picked several minutes of Donald Trump’s supporters calmly walking through the Capitol.

Supporters of then-President Trump fought police officers and smashed windows to gain access to the Capitol, where they ransacked several offices while lawmakers and staff barricaded themselves inside others. Rioters assaulted about 140 police officers, according to the Justice Department, and of the more than 1,000 people arrested in connection with the attack, 326 have been charged with assaulting, resisting or impeding officers or employees.

The former president sent his supporters to the Capitol after riling them up with months of lies about the 2020 election being stolen, which he capped off with a combative speech that day near the White House. The mob stormed the Capitol as lawmakers met to certify the election results in a proceeding that is usually little more than a formality.

Now That Tucker Carlson Has Jan. 6 Footage, Majorie Taylor Greene Is Changing Her Tune

When Democrats were in control of Congress, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) spent months calling for the unqualified release of thousands of hours of Jan. 6 security camera footage.

“The DOJ should just release the over 14,000 hours of surveillance video that the tax payers already payed [sic] for instead of creating a controlled view of Jan 6 that cost $6.1 million taxpayer dollars,” Greene tweeted in July 2021, a few months after the attack. “Then everyone can see what happened. What is there to hide?”

“If we really want to know the truth about Jan. 6, it’s real easy. All we have to do is release the video footage, and everyone can see for themselves what exactly happened,” the congresswoman said on the House floor last June.

But now that Republicans have given Fox News star Tucker Carlson exclusive access to the tapes, Greene has changed her tune from her old mantra of “release the tapes” ― see, for example, here, here, here and here ― to something else.

Greene was reportedly involved in House Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s (R-Calif.) decision to allow Carlson exclusive access to the footage, and she now says it would be “foolish” to release certain parts publicly.

“We can’t give away our national security,” Greene told CNN. “Everyone in Congress agrees. And I think the American people agree. We don’t want Russia or China or any of these other countries being able to study all the entries and exits of our Capitol. That’s foolish.”

That’s the same argument congressional Democrats have made about McCarthy handing the tapes to Carlson. Greene evidently trusts that the often inflammatory host will responsibly handle the videos.
