The unwritten rule is, you don't have sex on the first date. First dates are SUPPOSED to be laid back environments where you build a comfort level with the other person, with an easy escape route if there's no "spark" or exhibit any red or black flags. And I tend to operate under the assumption that women have less interest in sex than men do.

But this social distancing looks like it's going to take awhile, with curfews and lockdowns implemented in several US states (including my own) and the rest of the country will follow in short order. We're looking at a scenario where we're likely to be communicating with our match via texts and phone calls for MONTHS before finally having a real date once meeting people and physical contact are safe again. By this point, you will know them better than your average first date, with most of the screening and comfort building done with these late night phone calls. Given these circumstances, is sex on the first date more of a possibility than it used to be?

I refer to my girlfriend as "my love" or just her name, I used to call her by her nickname but I decided to have her help me say her real name properly which wasn't the easiest thanks to my super heavy American accent, lol. She refers to me as "love" or my name. I used "darling" early on, which she approved of but I decided it didn't feel as right as "love" and it felt a lot better to use that than "baby" or other stuff because our relationship places love connection and affection as most important and sex at a lower level.
