I'm a 16 year old girl, I am turning 17 in 3 months (late birthday), I was diagnosed with major depression about a year ago. My parents have called me crazy, and a baby when i've had break downs, they've aso told me to grow up. My parents have both called me a bitch, and have said things like "no wonder you have no friends" I'm in a 10 month relationship with a guy I've known for 3 years (my parents don't believe me), we've always been close friends and have had a connection. My parents are very hard on my relationship with him, and make me feel very uncomftorable about normal teenage behaviours such as relationships. My parents shame me for having sex, and my mother has also said nasty things about me behind my back such as "she's too busy opening her legs" she has called my relationship a freakshow and always makes mean comments when i go there, usually referring to a bed (sex, cuddles, etc) My dad pays for my phone bill, and always goes through my text messages with my boyfriend which is how he found out we had sex, he has not only invaded my privacy but my bf's aswell. My parents think my boyfriend is out to get my family, and believes that he is manipulating me, using me, and taking advantage of me, they think he is not right in the head. My mom thinks he is one of the guys in the movies that tell their gf's to kill their family, which makes me believe that she is delusional and not right in the head. My dad says he's disgusted in me, and if i moved out they would cut me off of their "love" money, everything. I didn't know this was not normal until my boyfriend and his mom told me it isn't. My mind has been fucked with, and they have confused me so much. I don't know what to believe anymore. Last Summer, my mom got really mad at me and squeezed my chin really hard, she has also slapped me on the face during a fight, I'll admit I was being mouthy. My parents are so controlling, my mom makes comments when I eat something, she always has something negative to say

In your opinion why do you think an ex wouldn't bring your stuff when they said they will?
Does it depend on situation? What is your experience?

My ex broke up with me. He broke my trust and said I was too nice and he couldn't be bothered and didn't know how to fix it. He didn't really want to break up with me he wasn't 100% sure. He could see how hurt I was and just ended it.

He said he would bag my stuff up and contact me in a few days for me to have it. True to his word he text and said he would drop it the following morning. He didn't. After 2 days I asked if he had in case it was on the doorstep and had been stolen or mistaken for rubbish. Nope. He said he would bring it one morning the following week. He hasn't. I haven't bothered asking again. Besides asking last week if he did drop the things I haven't contacted him even once. It's been over 2 weeks since we broke up. He did this last year, then brung my stuff to me and wnated to talk. I didn't want to. Then 2 weeks later he 'found' more stuff and bought it. Then a week later 'found' something else and bought it. Sunsequently then we had a chat about things. Started talking again and ended up getting back together.

A friend says it gives him control over me still (our relationship story is too long to tell)
I think it is either so he or I have an excuse to intiate contact or actually he doesn't really care much at the moment and letting me have it is of no value to him. ( I would let it go if it were not for an expensive bracelet that my brother got for me)
