And quality ones, not just settling. 28F, I’m told I’m attractive but I’ve never had it easy dating. I’ve only ever used dating apps & while they’re trash to me, lots of people had success with them. I’ll add that im very reserved, seems like most good looking women can just go about their day & run into their next SO with no effort. I never get approached, can say I’ve never gotten approached by a man I’d actually want to date. On the dating apps getting matches were never the issue, it’s more fizzling out/ghosting/ the issues you deal with on the apps usually. It makes me question my attractiveness, over the years I’ve said eff it & have gotten better at dealing with it, I’ll never let a man question my confidence like that again bc I know there’s nothing wrong with me. Am I right or are good looking women actually putting in effort?

Hey everyone, I (33F, African American) need some perspective on a recent conflict that arose between my boyfriend (31M, African American) and me. We've been in a long-distance relationship, as he lives down south while I'm up in the northeast. We had a strong emotional connection, exchanged love notes, and even discussed marriage. Here's where things got complicated. My mom is planning to visit his city in a few months, and she doesn't know about our relationship yet. I intended to reveal it to her once we became more serious. However, my mom has always insisted that I should only date Caucasian men, believing they would treat me better. I find her beliefs challenging to deal with, and we often argue about them. When I shared my mom's visit plan with my boyfriend, he encouraged me to go with her. However, I expressed my concerns about being in close quarters with my mom due to our strained relationship and her strong opinions about dating African American men. I wanted to be honest with him, as he deserved to know about my mom's views. Unfortunately, he became angry and went on a rant. He questioned why I didn't challenge my mom's beliefs and stated that he no longer had romantic feelings for me. He even listed his family's accomplishments and the fact that his parents are still together, highlighting the contrast with my own family situation. I was hurt by his reaction, and in the heat of the moment, I responded with a curt "ok good, bye," and blocked him on social media. Now, I'm feeling conflicted and would appreciate some perspective. Was I wrong to share my mom's views with him? How would you handle a situation like this? I'm open to hearing different opinions and understanding who might be at fault here. So, I started dating this guy a few months ago and he’s amazing. The only thing I don’t like about him is his relationship with his youngest sister. For reference, he’s 18 and she’s 15. I really liked his sisters at first and then his youngest sister started acting a little weird. Every other time we hang out at his house and we’re in his room, she barges in and starts talking to him and doesn’t acknowledge me unless I speak. We get along fine but I think she’s just a little shy. Recently, his youngest sister has been all over my boyfriend. I’m not talking about hugs, she’s constantly touching him, whining to him about things, I’ve seen them wrestle a few times, every time they stand/sit near each other she constantly touches him. Whether her foot is on him somewhere or she’s holding his arm or shirt or touching his abdomen. She also talks to him about inappropriate things, and when they sit next to each other she props her legs up on him. And on one occasion I saw him smack her butt. And twice he’s told me that he fell asleep in his sister’s bed (both of his sisters share a bed). And she’s made weird inappropriate jokes to him before. Once, she was on all fours looking out his bedroom window and she said “help *his name* I’m stuck”, with a weird tone, when she clearly wasn’t and got up after a few seconds of him not responding to her. I wish I didn’t feel so weird about their relationship because it feels odd to feel that way. But I can’t help how I’m feeling. I’ve tried to ignore it but I just get a really weird vibe and it makes me super uncomfortable. Also she reads smut so I know her mind isn’t pure lol. Before someone questions that.

*Also, for reference, all I have is an older sister. So I don’t know if that behavior is odd or not and I’m trying to figure it out*

So what do you guys think? Is it weird or am I just being insecure? I want to talk to him about it I just don’t want to put him in an uncomfortable position if this situation isn’t actually weird.
